This hash brown has a secret: Three Little Brick's (@threelittlebrick) fried mentai tamago, in Steppes, Mont Kiara 🥚

Sweet tamago in crispy panko, with mentaiko mayo on top. The spicy sausage pasta is the unique one: it has a prawn undertone. Their kitchen cooks with prawn stock (it's the base of their burnt tomato pasta), which is my guess why. Also had the smashed wagyu burger.

Awww we had an all Italian dinz cooked by @_h4irie_ & myself for the fasting szn (break fast)!! Ok but we also did Caesar salad hehe!! 10/10 will do this again 💕

RM88 claypot rice, worth it?
📍 One Brick Drop, Jalan Damai, KL @onebrickdrop

Engawa Claypot Rice, RM88: glazed engawa, tobiko and kale over the rice, with condiments on the side to mix in. Very visual - as they present it to you before mixing it in at the table.

Chili Crab Pasta: fettuccine in a crab sauce, topped with a raw yolk and parmesan. A very rich crab sauce that just about works.

Alright overall, but at RM88 for the claypot rice, it is a little bit steep.

Hours: 11am to 12am daily
Halal: no, alcohol served
Parking: roadside only, or just Grab
Where: 25 Jalan Damai, in the old Laos embassy bungalow
Upstairs: Re Patisserie for desserts

This just might be one of the coolest spots in KL, and their food absolutely lives up to the hype! You know you’re in the right place when the first thing you see pulling into the driveway is a Ferrari!

Tucked inside a gorgeous, industrial chic space, @onebrickdrop is where the city’s cool crowd comes for delicious Japanese influenced flavours!

We tried a massive spread, but a few absolute must orders include their insanely good Garlic Prawn Toast (RM21), alongside seafood highlights like their perfectly flaky, moist Crispy Cod (RM68) and Grilled Fish Head (RM35)! If you love noodles, their Uni Pasta (RM49) is rich and piled high with ikura for an extra punch of umami, while the Burnt Cabbage (RM29) comes drenched in a buttery, insanely tasty miso tofu sauce.

But for me, the rice dishes completely stole the show. The Engawa Claypot Rice (RM133) pairs melt in your mouth flounder fin with crispy chicken skin, we added 15g of extra ikura (RM45) for maximum flavour, and the Truffle Foie Gras Don (RM85) is pure buttery decadence!

Be sure to leave room for some of their incredible pastries to end the night on a sweet note! If you’re heading to KL, this is definitely a must visit!!
