Around 2006 I stopped by @robdyrdek crib with a mutual friend and he was working on a new skate contest venture. A few years later, @brian_atlas reached out and asked if I’d do him the honor of judging this new contest they were launching called @sls
Having transitioned to a new part of my career from sponsored skater I was honored they thought so high of me to request my perspective on street skating to round out the judges panel.
Little did I know it would turn into a 16 year run, traveling the world with some of my best friends, and heros, while getting to see the progression of skateboarding first hand all around the globe.
I always wondered if and when I’d have to step back from this blessing and now seems about the right time.
It has been an absolute honor @brian_atlas @robdyrdek
My heart is so full. I am so thankful for the memories shared with everyone; @akamrod @bigcat @aaronsnyder77 @ryandenman @billy_marks @kellyhart @jesusfernandez_77 @r_petersen80 @jeronwilson @danielduarte00 @thetimoconnor @andrewbrophy obviously my brother whom i miss so much @coorslightyear amongst so many more.
9 club.
Tricks were done. Careers were launched. Times were had. Fits were worn. Olympic formats were created. Passports were stamped.
I will forever cherish this opportunity. ❤️🛹🫡
