When @agdith.tan invited me to paint for his installation, HENING MEGANTARA by @bendadesignhub at @jakartadesigncenter , I simply said yes. No overthinking. No big plan. Just why not? Little did I know that getting into the right mood would be the hardest part. I thought I could finish it in a day, but clearly, my creative process had other plans. So I came back the next day, still figuring things out as I went. I didn’t have the entire concept mapped out from the beginning. Somehow, it all came together along the way. And here it is… tadaaa! ✨ SEASONS OF US Contemporary Mixed-Media Abstract Expressionism Life unfolds in seasons — dark, quiet, and luminous. Through flowing gestures and layered textures, this piece reflects our continuous journey forward. The blooming flowers are a symbol of resilience, reminding us to keep flourishing, whatever season we find ourselves in. As an architect, I’m used to thinking in structures, lines, and grids. But life itself refuses to stay within them. It flows, shifts, and grows in its own unpredictable ways. Perhaps that’s what makes life beautiful. A spontaneous yes, an unexpected process, and a piece that found its way. 🤍 Created in collaboration with @coulisse_ink fabric blinds and @letscolourid this artwork will be part of a charity initiative supporting @onefinesky .
