Further Mykonos: The Eternal Festival 🇬🇷
Shooting with @itchban @adrian_emerton for Marriott Bonvoy in Mykonos, Greece.
A mix of my shots with Ben’s Mavic Pro 2 aerials and Adrian’s BMPCC4K frame grabs.

The team shot & filmed a piece over a weekend which included the unveiling of Daniel Popper’s (epic Burning Man sculptures) latest artwork on the island.
•
These guys are up there with some the most talented and professional creatives I’ve had the pleasure to work with.

One month in and only just getting started!

🎬 Hot @adobe tip: ‘Double Stabilization’ for short, shaky handheld timelapses. I figured out this trick last year and have used it on all of my wonky handheld timelapses/shutter bursts since. The images were all shot handheld (no tripod) so naturally, you get a bit of camera shake even AFTER applying the standard warp stabilizer in Premiere Pro.

🎥 Double / Triple Handheld Timelapse Stabilization
First colourgrade in LR > open as layers in PS
1st stabilization: Align layers (transform on 50% opacity if you need to correct angles). This will get you 90% stable.
2nd stabilization: Premiere Pro Warp stabilizer. Should be pretty much stationary at this point.
3rd stabilization (bonus round): After Effects stabilization. (Only if you need it) Should be dead centre still at this point. It may auto-crop quite a bit so use sparingly.

Now go and fix those shakey unused timelapses!

Totally not used to seeing LON - NYC flights for only £250 return. I think a trip is in order come May.
I generally only edit videos 4 days a week so in 2019, our goal is to spend weekends away at least 1-2 times a month ✈️

The monotony and solitude of a quiet life stimulates the creative mind. I travel frequently but rarely ‘holiday’, so I jump at the chance to get out to mountains and open air. Nature has a profound impact on renewing my creative energy. That and copious amounts of coffee ☕️
