St. Mary's Glacier, technically a year-round snow field, has been around for over a century. That is until this past September of 2026 when it finally melted out.

This video is from July, 2026, a short two months prior to it no longer existing.

This snowfield was a summer go-to for me when I skied in 23 consecutive months. A streak that was ended by Covid restrictions in 2020.

I think this is an appropriate reaction to afternoon thunderstorms in October. Don't you?

I ran down to treeline as fast as I could after I heard the first thunderous boom. The whole time praying to Zeus and Thor to spare me.

Hiked the Crags Trail to the Devil's Playground trail.

After climbing above tree-line to a saddle, I veered off trail to the right (left continues to the Devil's Playground and the summit of Pikes Peak). I traversed a ridge that led to this cool bump of large boulders. Unfortunately storms were building in the area, so I was not able to climb the boulders. I'll have to return another day.

Climbing from Camp 2 to Camp 3 on Aconcagua with AMG.

We stayed at Camp 2 until we got a summit day weather window. With a good forecast, we packed up and moved on to Camp 3. Camp 3 sits at 19,600', so you don't want to spend too much time there. You only advance to Camp 3 if you can go for the summit the very next day.

At this point, our expedition of 8 with Aconcagua Mountain Guides was down to 2. My friend Jeff and I were escorted up to Camp 3 with two guides (Ezequiel and Victor) and a photographer (Efrain).

Along the way, we made a pit stop at Camp Berlin, a small Camp located just below Camp 3.

The flies wouldn't leave Evie Valentine alone during her cover of Pink Pony Club at the Pueblo Chile & Frijoles Festival. Fortunately the staff was awesome, and after this song they placed a fan on the stage to help keep the flies out of her face.

I climbed this wall with Kevin and Bruce. Is this going to be my next hobby? And can I get Elizabeth to climb outside with me if it is? She had fun climbing in the gym. 🤷‍♂️
