Sharing about my Maris Cardigan on the first #FOFriday this year! I was sucked into this design the moment I saw @jess_rootknots teasing this pattern, and I could not sign up to test the pattern fast enough when she put out the call!

I truly loved the entire process of making this cardigan. The construction involves making the panels separately and seaming the pieces together. Yes yes, I did say seaming. But! The seaming gave the cardigan the structure it needed with this stretchy texture, and making the panels separately also simplified what would have been some tricky increase/decrease tracking with this particular textured motif. I am already dreaming of more iterations of this project, and have started on a little shawlette using this motif.

The pattern is coming out next week!!

Pattern: #MarisCardigan by @jess_rootknots
Yarn: @explorerknits Cashmere Caverns Sock in Petrichor + @onelupinewool 3-ply Fingering Schoodic in Boreal
