This isn’t one of the biggest problems in the world but there is a whole community that would be very grateful if the city of houston would allow public skateparks to accessible to all action sports. It’s truly unfair that our community can’t utilize these facilities that our city invested into. It cuts off a safe environment for a community to socialize in an increasingly socially inactive world. There is a link in my bio for the petition you can sign, you do not have to donate money. A signature is plenty, just to show how much support our community can bring. Like i said, not the biggest problem in the world but it’s been too long and we all want to progress in every aspect that these positive environments can bring.

LINK IN BIO PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION TO ALLOW BIKES IN ALL HOUSTON AREA SKATEPARKS To: City of Houston Parks & Recreation Department & North Houston District We, the undersigned residents and riders of Houston, respectfully request that the rules at Lee & Joe Jamail Skatepark and North Houston Skate Park be updated to allow all wheels (including BMX) at all times. Why We Support This Change: Inclusivity: Both parks should welcome all action sports disciplines—skateboards, bikes, roller skates, roller blades, and scooters. Proven Coexistence: Across the country, bikes and skateboards share skateparks safely every day. Riders self-regulate and follow park etiquette without issues. Better Use of Public Investment: These two parks are among the largest in the world and were built with public resources. They should serve all riders, not exclude a major group that is apart of the Houston community. Community Growth: Allowing bikes and all wheels fosters collaboration, skill-sharing, and a stronger community across disciplines. Our Request: We urge the City of Houston Parks & Recreation Department and the North Houston District to remove the bike prohibition and allow bikes full access at both skateparks. Houston’s skateparks should set the example for openness, inclusivity, and community spirit.
