Oh, sweet Matawan 💛 We’re so sorry we didn’t get to give you the season finale you deserved.

The nor’easter may have rained out our last market, but it certainly doesn’t get the last word on this season.

What started as our tiny little market has continued to grow into something pretty special — the little market that keeps proving it can.

To our dedicated vendors who showed up week after week, and to the Matawan community that continues to show up for them: thank you. Every visit, every purchase, every conversation and every person who told a friend helped this market grow from year one to year two.

We’re incredibly proud of what’s happening here, and we have a feeling we’re only getting started.

Farewell for now, Matawan. We’ll see you next year 💛

The Matawan team of Mayor Altomonte, Councilman De Zaio, and Taron Jones from the Fire Department left it all on the lake! While we crossed the finish line just a hair behind, what a day! Over 500 people came out to celebrate the Borough’s unique place in history as part of America’s 250th celebration, and the energy was absolutely unforgettable!

A huge congratulations to our sister town, Aberdeen, on their victory; we’re proud to celebrate alongside you! But let’s be clear — despite your win, Lake Lefferts is staying Lake Lefferts. While we are happy to share services and a zip code with you, we aren’t sharing our lake! 😉

A big thank-you to Keyport for being such an important part of making this event happen.

Thank you, @repfrankpallone, for stopping by and for all your support! And to the Matawan Historical Society, every volunteer, organizer, sponsor, and neighbor who showed up and gave their time and energy — THANK YOU!

Our community shows up every single time.

Here’s to 250 years of history! 🇺🇸

Some places stay with you. Megan from @onestargone found a way to fit many of them into a single piece of art. 💙

Inspired by Asbury Park’s history, culture, and community, Megan created this original illustration as a love letter to the city. Every stamp tells part of the story—from the Greetings from Asbury Park postcard lettering made famous by Springsteen, to the swan boats, carousel, Tillie, the old Fun House fish, music, the beach (complete with a rainbow towel honoring Asbury’s LGBTQ+ community), whales off the boardwalk, pizza, and ice cream.

The artwork was illustrated digitally by Megan and printed on high-quality photo paper, creating a keepsake that’s both nostalgic and unmistakably Asbury.

Stop by One Star Gone this Sunday, meet Megan, and see this beautiful piece in person.

Another busy Saturday! First, a bunch of the team went to Keyport to commemorate Juneteenth and honor some of the Shore Knights for their service. Next, we headed over to the grand opening under new ownership for About You Chiropractic, located in the Starbucks Plaza. Enjoy this beautiful Saturday, Matawan!
