A hard post on my profile means only one thing…the end of the year. 2025 was a challenging year and I know that is true for a lot of us. Most of us were just trying to survive. Despite being in survival mode for most of it, I’m really proud of the things I was able to accomplish and experience. I got to take my 97 year old grandma to a Dodgers World Series game. I gifted my parents their first real vacation in over 2 decades. I competed in my first ever motorcycle race. I became an uncle (not by blood but by choice). I got to ride a legendary Formula 1 / Moto GP track with friends. I got to be creative again and be a model / talent rider for a major brand. I instructed and coached dozens of riders alongside the incredible @compactoctane team. I got to celebrate Adrienne’s 30th and watch her move her entire life across the country while simultaneously nailing a complete career pivot. Most importantly, I got to do and experience all of this with the most incredible family, friends, and partner by my side, supporting me and showing up for me every step along the way. Grateful for it all. Now do your best or your worst, 2026.

The Gen V Viper embodies the concept of “no replacement for displacement”. This is the largest displacement modern production engine I can think of, an 8.4L naturally aspirated V10. When they were new it seemed like they were not properly appreciated, struggling sales, discounts, and an entry level trim was added. Now…prices are demoralizingly high (if you want to buy one, they are great if you already own one). The GTC was a really special customization program, not just visual, but you could literally mix and match any of the model packages. This lead to more than 50 million unique build combinations, ranging from 16,000 exterior paints, 24,000 stripe colors, 11 wheels, 16 interiors, 7 aero packages, 3 brake packages and 4 suspension options. You could do an ACR aero package with the more luxurious GTS interior if you wanted, and have it painted a fully custom color. This lead to true 1-of-1 builds like this gorgeous Ferrari Rosso Fuoco painted GTC owed by @oneviperbite . It’s kind of a TA1.5, a perfect spec for the road, daily drivable, enjoyable on the track and tons of fun in the canyons. We spent a fantastic day up in the mountains of SoCal filming a video. It is so engaging and analog, great Tremec 6-speed, tons of torque, responsive steering, and just an overall mechanical experience that modern cars can’t quite capture anymore. You sit really far back with that long hood up front, which kind of reminds me of the SLS driving position. But it still feels perfect sized, and with an approx. 3,400 lb curb weight and near perfect 50/50 weight distribution it’s quite easy to get comfortable in. The ACRs may get all the attention, both in terms of track capabilities and sheer presence with that ridiculous aero kit, but any Gen V Viper is pretty dang fun to drive and stupendously capable in all situations. I think these will remain special and values will continue to hold and climb, especially the special versions and clean examples. And if you get bored with it in stock form, you can stroke the engine out to 9.0L, or add a pair of turbos and turn it into a flame throwing 2000 horsepower monster 🔥 #viper #dodge #dodgeviper #vipergts #srt #mopar

Back in 2021, I went on a trip with a few friends to the Tail of the Dragon in the M3. This was by far (and still is) the longest trip I have ever taken in the BMW.
