Have you heard my new record?????

Have you been on Spotify recently?????

Anyway, it's been out for a bit and on repeat because I make this music to listen to it in the shower...and I've been showering. Find out about it if you haven't. Also, I'm going to Lagos for the Lagos Fringe Festival and they keep telling me to remind y'all, so there 🚀🚀🚀

This week we’re Kickin’ It with Abigael Diana of Ongeza Volume! We start the episode by talking about the Martell Swift Academy that we were a part of (6:11), then recap the different shows we attended recently including Tina Ardor’s “Adorn”, DJ Mura’s ‘Murata’ listening party, Mordecai Dex’s “Dexclusives” and more (13:39). South Africa’s Prince Kaybee had some things to say about the Kenyan Oontz scene (32:15), Bien signs with American Label QC (38:46), then a wrap up of recently released music (49:55).

Intro: Kaa La Moto, MAKAMANDA - “Hatufanani” produced by Master Kip
Pick of the Week: Partraw, Lisa Oduor-Noah- “Nini Ni Kupe” produced by FMP Pan Da Beat

By highlighting music, we aim to help the podcast’s featured artists and songs get the recognition they deserve.

Different creatives. Different voices. One beautiful space to grow. ✨🤎
What do you want to be known for?

Our Lunch & Learn: Building Your Creative Identity in the Digital Age brought the creative community together at Baraza Media Lab - Industrial Area for an afternoon of fresh perspectives, meaningful conversations and connection.

With insights from Abigael Diana Ongeza Volume and Maxwell Murila, we explored finding our voices, defining our niches and building creative identities that reflect who we are and what we bring to the world.
Because your creativity is more than what you make. It's the perspective you bring, the value you offer and the story you choose to tell.
Here's a little look at the moments that made it special.

you know those memories that you revisit with genuine delight? 🥰

this is one of the shows that was / has been foundational for me. it’s so crazy how i can see my confidence and my skill changing in real time! 😭

this show was such an incredible catalyst for my growth and a true measure of all the behind the scenes work that doesn’t fit into a 15 second highlight reel.

i’ll never tire of talking about @ongeza_volume and the incredible work that @abigael_diana does! even before we got to working together, i already held her in such high regard because if you know her, you know her energy, her drive and vision are the stuff of legend. 😮‍💨
You are absolutely HER @abigael_diana and don’t you forget it ❤️‍🔥

this reel was shot & edited by @gatehi & the OG honeys know that if you see that name, the kitchen is fragrant and we’re cooking something gorgeous for y’all - to say I’m excited is an understatement 🥰

I can’t wait to show y’all what we’ve got cooking! 💃🏽
