🔧YEP! A Workbook for Young Changemakers is here!🔧

🌱How can young people have a real say in shaping the places where they live?
YEP! A Workbook for Young Changemakers is a new hands-on resource designed for young people aged 13–18 who want to better understand their communities — and take an active role in changing them.

🌱Through an illustrated story, accessible concepts and practical activities, the workbook explores youth participation, sustainability, social and spatial justice, decision-making and collective action. It invites young people to observe their neighbourhoods, question who gets to make decisions about public space, listen to different perspectives, imagine alternatives and turn their ideas into action.

🌱More than a book to read, it is a resource to explore, discuss and use together — encouraging young people to form their own views, work collectively and discover how even small actions can contribute to fairer, greener and more inclusive communities.

Developed within the EU-funded YEP! – Youth Participatory Ecological Planning for Social Justice, Democracy, and Well-being project, the workbook is available in English, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Romanian and Spanish.

🐛Ready to become a changemaker? Explore the workbook and start with your own neighbourhood.

Las almejas que hablan 🔷 Carmen Rojas y Karelia Zambrano @carmenrojascepero @karelis.zj

MIÉRCOLES 07 DE OCTUBRE 20:30h - NAVE ‘31 @nave31__espacio_

Coprogramada junto a @onoffteatro

The 3rd Progress Meeting of the YEP project has successfully come to an end in Logroño, Spain!
It was a productive meeting filled with meaningful discussions, shared learning, and inspiration for the next steps of the YEP journey.

We came together to discuss upcoming deliverables, coordinate the next stages of implementation, and strengthen our collaboration for the months ahead.

Beyond the project discussions, we also had the opportunity to explore different perspectives on urban planning and sustainable tourism in Logroño, reflecting on local challenges against a more sustainable, inclusive, and people-centred city.

Thank you to our hosts and all project partners for their hospitality, commitment, and collaboration!

Over the past months, schools and youth groups from across Europe have shared their visions, experiences, and ideas through the YEP! Video Contest on the theme “Youth Spaces & Ecological Participatory Planning”.

Young people were invited to reflect on the spaces around them, from schools and neighbourhoods to parks and public spaces and explore how these environments can become more inclusive, accessible, sustainable, and youth-friendly. The videos highlighted the importance of belonging, participation, environmental responsibility, and social justice in shaping the cities and communities of the future.

We are delighted to announce the winners:

🎥 “Άσυλο Ονείρων” (Dreams’ Asylum)
@lemon.skates Youth Group, Kastoria, Greece

🎥 Song Video
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Inclusion Unit, 5th Gymnasium of Kalamata, Greece

🎥 “School News 101” – Student Space Renovation Report
“Nicu Enea” Middle School, Romania

🎥 “A Park for Everyone”
2nd Vocational High School of Kalamata, Greece

A huge congratulations to all the participants, teachers, facilitators, and youth groups who shared their creativity, ideas, and hopes for more democratic, inclusive, and sustainable communities. Your voices remind us that young people are not only imagining better futures, they are already helping to build them.

🤍 In Tatabánya, inequality is material before it is anything else.

✨ Whether there are actual places you can go, stay, and share time with others without barriers.

🌱 We close this series with an important reminder: everything else comes after that basic fact – material reality determines who can belong, who can participate, and who can shape anything at all.

😮‍💨 Some days, you just need a minute.
✨ Not because you’re failing to keep up, but because constantly keeping up is exhausting.

⚡ Young people in Budaörs are asking a simple question: what if care wasn’t something you had to earn after burning out, but something built into everyday life from the start?

🤍 Rest shouldn’t be a privilege you squeeze in between pressure, it should be part of how we design schools and other places, together, for everyone.
