World Mental Health Day 🌎💚

Behind every player is a person, and supporting our athletes means prioritizing their well-being on and off the pitch. Let’s continue to break the stigma, check in on one another, and advocate for a game where mental health is treated as a priority.

A special thanks to @onrisecare who is the USLPA’s mental health provider. We are proud to work alongside partners who recognize the importance of caring for the whole person.

There’s no one way to be strong. 💪

For Day 3 of Mental Wellness Empowerment Week, the SAC and Onrise are reminding student-athletes that strength isn’t measured by how much you can withstand, and performance isn’t proof that everything is OK.

In sports, toughness is often celebrated. But strength can also mean resting when you need it, being honest about how you’re feeling, leaning on the people around you or asking for help.

Strong looks different on every body. And sometimes, strength is simply showing up for yourself.

Less scrolling. More real life.

Mental Wellness Empowerment Week starts with “Disconnect to Reconnect” – a reminder to step away from the screen and make space for what’s around you.

Put down your phone. Get outside. Spend time with teammates and friends. Give yourself a chance to reset, refocus and be present.

This week, we’re challenging student-athletes to be intentional about when they disconnect; because sometimes the best way to reconnect with yourself and the people around you is to log off for a while.

Very grateful for the support @onrise provides to athletes through the WLL 🩷

Sports are just as much about mental fitness as they are physical fitness, and having the right support makes a difference!

Taking care of your mind is part of taking care of your game!🥍🤍

Championship organizations invest where most won’t: the six inches between an athlete’s ears.

That’s the work @onrisecare does. They put people, like myself, who have lived it, in front of athletes who need it before college, not after.

I’ve sat where these girls are sitting. The pressure, the expectations, the identity wrapped in a box score. What carried me to two NCAA and two WNBA championships wasn’t talent alone.

Thank you @onrisecare for letting me share the ELITE Signature Program with @fbc_nextup.

I am so so grateful for @onrisecare to be a partner to the @WLL! As athletes our mental well being is just as, if not more important than our physical. We are always humans before athletes! Thanks to Onrise, mental wellness, self-care, and access to support when it's needed most, remains a priority 🥍💙🫶🏼
