🎨 RCA students, staff and alumni are taking over London Design Festival @l_d_f_official and Digital Design Weekend @vamuseum this September!

From 12–20 Sep, RCA designers will showcase bold new ideas across exhibitions, pop-ups and collaborations throughout London.

#LondonDesignFestival highlights include:

🔴AFTER SCHOOL — new work spanning textiles, ceramics and design by recent RCA graduates presented by @gallery_FUMI and the RCA from 12-26 Sep. Organised by @rca_designproducts, with support from @rcatextiles & @rcaceramicsandglass.
🔴 InResponse: ECHO · MATTER · SYNC — 30 graduating designers from @rca_designproducts exploring memory, materials and the human body. @brompton_design_district from 12-20 Sep.
🔴Shape of Scent — a collaboration exploring the relationship between fragrance, form and furniture from RCA alumni @hansoncheng (MA/MSc Innovation Design Engineering, 2020) and @adamwaldronn (MA Visual Communication, 2016) from 15-20 Sep.
🔴A Kind of Exchange — a thought-provoking collaboration with the @boemuseum using @bankofengland's shredded waste banknotes to explore commerce, exchange and history from RCA alumni and staff from 17-20 Sep.
🔴 In-Between Thresholds from Daksh Goel (MA Design Products, 2025. an exhibition bringing together 10 international artists and 8 universities at @uniwestminster from 17 -20 Sep.
🔴 Meet @emmjshipley (MA Textiles, 2011) to explore her work and creative process @eggerlondon on 16 September.
🔴 Zoë Chinonso Ene, an RCA Design PhD candidate will be showing new work at 2 Cromwell Place as part of Our Parlour from 12-20 Sep @brompton_design_district

AND at the V&A Digital Design Weekend (18 - 20 Sep @vamuseum) you can see RCA community work including:

🟣 Works by students from MA Information Experience Design @rcaied as part of the Universities Showcase
🟣 The Wild House by the University of Brighton, supported by the Ecological Citizen(s) Network @ecological.citizens, a research project led from the RCA.
🟣 Wind Studies: Air as Material by @shantibell_ (MA Fashion, 2022) A sculptural installation exploring the concept of the performative object.

𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐓 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 '𝐈𝐧-𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬' 𝐚𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 2026

Daksh Goel (FA UG '17), an alumnus of the Faculty of Architecture, showcases his new exhibition, In-Between Thresholds, presented from 12 to 18 September 2026 at the London Design Festival.

Curated by Daksh and his firm, OSA Studio, the exhibition explores the spaces and moments that exist between defined states — verandahs, corridors, courtyards, and thresholds drawn from everyday Indian life. The exhibition brings together a diverse group of artists, designers, and academic institutions from India, Bangladesh, and the UK. Their works collectively explore ideas of spatial memory, materiality, transition, identity, and the everyday, creating a layered conversation around the threshold as both a physical and experiential condition. This is Daksh's second consecutive year at the festival, following his 2025 showcase Kaalchakra.

The London Design Festival, now in its 24th edition, is among the most prestigious international forums for celebrating creativity, design, and innovation. Held annually every September, it brings together designers, architects, and artists from across the globe and provides a vital stage for new ideas and cultural exchange.
