This is how I choose to remember you. You fought so hard to live and still managed to be there for your friends and loved ones. I remember our little lunch date at Panera Bread! We sat there for a few hours chatting and laughing!
Now you are free from pain and suffering and can groove again. I will miss you Alyse. I will always love you my sis. Now fly high and be at rest.

On June 5th, 2007 my life changed forever. I was shooting an event at SOB's and along came a super friendly white girl who gave me her card and invited me to an album release party that she was throwing a week later. I didn't really think anything of it at the time, but she followed up the next day and I went to the party she was throwing. When I got there it started pouring down raining on the Red Carpet but she was still smiling regardless. I loved her indomitable spirit and her ability to smile despite the challenges she had that night.

After that we became good friends, we talked all the time and once we realized that we had the exact same birthday, she started calling me her "Birthday Buddy". She hooked me up with events both small and large and even introduced me to Kangol Kid about a year later. She truly changed my life's direction. She believed in my talents before even I did. Over the years we'd talk a lot about our heart breaks and life goals. We both cried together and laughed together.. most times within the same breath. We went through a lot together and it's going to be weird not to be able to call her up and talk for hours about nothing.

Rest In Peace, my friend. 🦋

One day we'll meet again and I'll give you a big hug like the old days. 🫂

Often times people want to know what it’s like interviewing or interacting with some of their favorite people. Of course each person is different. Although I’ve never had any bad moments with celebs in this lane of media or any other random moment of meeting them. What I do appreciate is people giving their time no matter how long it’s for. It can be a selfie or an interview because they don’t have to acknowledge you although we expect for them to. @iamzoie was exactly how you might expect but more chilled with a light that you can see from afar.
