Holy Boulders 2023

Awesome experience climbing outdoors. Tons of people made for lots of pads and spotters making attempts feel less sketchy. The 6hr drive went fast with Travis and Geoff, who took the great climbing photos. It was also great hanging out with the First Ascent crew there.

I finished more outdoor boulders that one day than I have since I started climbing. Which was good enough for 3rd place in the men's intermediate division.

First hand, we were able to experience the culture behind one of the most prominent plum brandy drinking cultures in the world. No other place than Belgrade, Serbia has such an incredible tradition of making rakia, also know as fruit brandy – and even more specifically – slivovitz, fruit brandy distilled from plums.

It's finally staying below freezing in Chicago 🙌 this might not be cause for celebration for everyone, but in my fam it means skating on outdoor ice 😏 One of my favorite winter pastimes is pickup hockey, usually with a bunch of cousins out on a lake in a suburb of Chicago. Fingers crossed that the ice is as glassy as it was last winter! 🤞❄️🏒#winterwonderland
