🛡️ Protecting the Hobby: Our Stance on Altered Cards At Mint Authentication, we believe in the integrity of the grade and the soul of the hobby. Our mission is to preserve the history of trading cards—not rewrite it. To ensure a fair and transparent marketplace for collectors, we are officially clarifying our policy on card alterations: 🚫 Zero Tolerance Policy We will not authenticate or slab any card that has been physically or chemically altered. This includes, but is not limited to: Cleaning & Soaking: Using chemicals or water to remove debris or stains. Polishing: Buffing surfaces to artificially enhance gloss or remove scratches. Trimming & Re-coloring: Any physical modification to the edges, corners, or surface ink. ⚠️ Accountability Matters Integrity is a two-way street. If a submitter is found to be knowingly submitting altered cards, we will take immediate action: Account Deactivation: Your current submissions will be returned un-slabbed. Permanent Ban: You will be barred from all future grading services with Mint Authentication. Let’s keep the hobby authentic, one slab at a time. #cardgrading #sportscards #tcgcommunity #mintauthentication #collectibles A professional announcement graphic from Mint Authentication. The header reads "Protecting the Hobby: Our Stance on Altered Cards." The text outlines a strict zero-tolerance policy against authenticating or slabbing cards that have been soaked, cleaned, polished, or trimmed. Below, a warning section states that users found knowingly submitting altered cards will face account deactivation and a permanent ban. The design features a clean, high-end aesthetic with the Mint Authentication logo.
