Thank you Ridge soccer for the past 4 years!

Wow where do I begin…I never imagined myself writing a farewell to the most important part of me. They tell you time really flies and I never truly understand what they meant until now. After 11 years of playing the sport I love, I can’t say I know what comes next… who am I ?

Word can’t express how much gratitude and love I have for this sport. It shaped me into the person I am today.

Thank you for giving me purpose, a space to clear my head and get away from the noise. I can’t say it’s always been easy… there were times where I was frustrated, exhausted and mentally drained thinking maybe it was best to just walk away, but all the dedication, time, blood, sweat, and tears I put into this sport has taught me to stay consistent, never give up, let your game speak for itself, and to trust in your team. A team with more team chemistry beats a team with individual talent.

I am truly grateful for all my teammates that I’ve played with over the years that turned into lifelong friendships with so many memories I will cherish with all my heart. Especially the laughs and bus rides back from away games… truly a big support system through it all.

Soccer always came first and there were so many times where I wanted to quit or it got draining but that’s all part of loving the game. It’s safe to say all the sacrifices I made have been worth it. I will never take it for granted.

To the coaches that believe in me, saw my potential, pushed me to be better, made the love for the game so much stronger…It truly meant a lot.

Most importantly thank you to my parents for endlessly supporting me and taking me to all my games and practices… making sure to never miss a single one. Thank you for all the sacrifices y’all made and spending time and money on me. I love you guys so much and I will never be able to thank y’all enough.

Soccer is more than a sport to me, it was part of my everyday life, a routine , a commitment I choose to follow through with and to say that I’ll never see the field again isn’t easy, but I’ll carry everything I’ve gained and learned over the past few years into whatever comes next for me.

#7SigningOut✌🏼
