Season two of @locallovemarkets at @honourcoffeempls came to a close this Sunday. (Shameless plug for our holiday market at @quincyhallmpls on December 6th)

This market was the happiest of accidents. I was a regular at Honour Coffee because my corporate job of 5 years was a few blocks away. I got to know Sam and she floated the idea of a market by me. She had meant to ask for a few vendor recommendations, but I don’t do anything small and took that as a personal challenge to create something bigger. I happened to get laid off as we were planning the first market. You know what they say about one door closing? That couldn’t have been truer for me.

I’m seriously so in awe of what Local Love has become. Something so bigger than what I had even imagined. It is community. It is love and support. It is hope and joy. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of it so far and who will be 💕
