Loving hard and living life harder! I'm a singer, chef and creator of beautiful things.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Long video alert : Life has been difficult lately. I was talking with my sister Daria the other day about how often we pray, “God, get me out of this situation.” What if we also prayed, “God, come into this situation and help me walk through it”?

A few scriptures have been on my heart:

* 1 Peter 5:7 — Cast your cares on Him. You don’t have to carry every worry alone. Bring it to God, because He cares for you.
* Psalm 119:105 — His word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. You may not see the whole road right now. Trust God to light your next step as you follow Him.
* James 1:2 — Count it all joy when you face trials. That doesn’t mean the hard parts feel good. It means you can trust that God is building your character through them.
* Hebrews 13:5 — He will never leave you or forsake you. No matter how things look, God is still with you. You are not going through this alone.

This isn’t only about entrepreneurship. It’s for whatever you may be facing today. On this Sunday, remember: God has you. God loves you. Keep trusting Him. He won’t fail you. 🙏🏾

Happy 40th Birthday Tiff,

Wow!! You are really 40 and you don’t look like you even 35 🗣️ BLACK DONT CRACK!

Okay seriously, thank you for being my friend like a true friend and when I say you hold me accountable and to my word like you don’t take No for an answer when I can get it done. You push for extreme greatness and I strive daily to make sure I do something correct. I don’t take it for granted you being in my life because I really need you in this season of my life.

I know the ride can be ghetto but you lace up your boots and you say “Let’s Ride”. You are my favorite singer, my favorite laughing buddy and prayer warrior. I think God let you cuss me out for him to get the point across 😂😂

I can’t share everything but I do want to pray Gods unmerited favor upon this next chapter and decade of life. May His Hand and Face Shine Upon You!! Love you TMH 🫶🏾💚

Still playing catch up but I was honored with the opportunity to be an Artist for the Heart summit Singing beside friends and family. Relationships that go back over 20 years rooted in excellence and purpose.
The Hearth Summit brings together over 1,000 global social change leaders, government officials, artists, and business leaders to advance wellbeing for those working on the front lines of social change and wellbeing-informed approaches to changemaking.
It’s an occasion to profoundly experience and understand wellbeing in the context of social change and help us move to a personal and collective “call to action.” Blessed doesn’t even begin to describe this feeling and I have more to post The Art & Architecture, the Food and the Culture ….

Throwback of my besty @mr_vernon_james and I on new years (maybe Eve) 2004 leading the choir on CBS news NY

Backstory: the producers changed the songs last minute literally 10 minutes before we went on air. We had five minutes to learn and lock in “Auld Lang Syne.” They wanted the new years theme song but we had been rehearsing weeks prior a totally different song! That door closed and Mrs Wright said “Millions of new years are gonna be watching you live, you better not make a fool of me, better yet yourself on live television!” Our nerves were so bad scrambling to lock in those words at 17 years old and in 5 minutes! Talk about pressure! Oh you know we ate that song to piece BTW! My best took the verse and I had to end it on out with a light run or two lol 😂 ❤️🫶🏿

“Should old acquaintance be forgot

And never brought to mind?

Should old acquaintance be forgot,

For auld lang syne.“

Happy New Year 🎊🎆
