🤼 WHAT WE PLAY FOR • SWITZERLAND🇨🇭

🎥 Longer form video of this experience coming soon!

I’m exploring the idea of making this a much more official series - where I can better show the special experiences I have with the people and places. These have been deeply rich and meaningful experiences for me so I’d love any thoughts or feedback on the best way to share them 🙏

HUGE thank you to the young star @paxtonbograss and Schwingklub Interlaken for the support!

Today marks the start of a new training block for my fall races. It also marks one year since I started HYROX.
Here are six lessons I’ll be taking with me:
1️⃣ You’re capable of more than you think:
I never thought of myself as an athlete growing up. If you had told me a year ago that I’d be doing this, I wouldn’t have believed you. One of the coolest parts of this journey has been realizing that many of the limits I thought I had were self-imposed.
2️⃣ Improvement takes longer than you want it to:
As a Type-A person, I love a plan and a timeline. What I’ve learned is that progress rarely follows the neat spreadsheet graph I want it to 📈
There have been workouts that felt impossible and races that didn’t go as planned. But those moments aren’t a sign to quit - they’re a sign to keep going.
3️⃣ Don’t lose sight of the bigger picture:
It’s easy to focus on the things that didn’t go right. But when you do, you miss all the progress that happened along the way. Don’t forget to zoom out and appreciate how far you’ve come.
4️⃣Just because a goal is hard doesn’t mean it’s the wrong goal:
I had this realization during a training run where I missed every pace target, and I started to wonder if my goals were unrealistic.
But just because something requires more work doesn’t mean it’s out of reach.
5️⃣ Progress isn’t linear, but it’s still progress:
I’ve heard this saying for years, but NYC made me live it. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t frustrating to feel like the result didn’t fully reflect the work that went into it.
But one race, one workout or one bad day doesn’t define an athlete - and I would say that to anyone frustrated by their result.
6️⃣ Everything is better with friends by your side:
My doubles race was easily one of my most fun race so far. Some of my most meaningful races have been the ones where my husband was there cheering me on. And I’ve been lucky to have a coach who saw my potential before I did.
Beyond that, this community has been one of the greatest surprises of this journey ✨
Bonus lesson: don’t forget to have fun 😝

When it’s time to put on your game face. 😤

Before a race or hard training session, there’s always noise to tune out: nerves, distractions, self-doubt, and that little voice reminding you how uncomfortable things are about to get.

To be honest - I struggle with letting the chatter inside my head get the best of me. After my race in Miami, I knew I had to find something that would help me stay focused and mentally locked in and just execute. That’s why I’ve been using Pre-Game Flow from Oomph before my toughest workouts and races.

The combination of beetroot-derived nitrates, adaptogens, nootropics, and electrolytes helps me lock in, stay focused under pressure, and maintain my energy and endurance when things get hard. Plus, it’s caffeine-free, so I get the focus without feeling jittery.

For me, it’s not about creating motivation - it’s about drowning out the noise, trusting my training, and focusing on the next rep, the next station, and the next mile.

My HYROX solo is tomorrow, and I plan to leave it all out on the course. No matter what the clock says at the finish line, I’ll know I gave it everything I had.

Game face on. Let’s go. 💥
