POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I spent most of September making a horror movie in Ortigia with @terredicinema

Not dreaming about making one.

Not talking about making one.

Actually making one.

Standing in locations I never imagined I'd get to film in.

Solving problems on the fly.

Working long days with great people.

Making something out of whatever we had in front of us.

And somewhere in the middle of all of it, I had one of those moments where you look around and think:

Holy shit. We're actually doing this.

That's what I love about filmmaking.

You don't need everything to be perfect. Just an idea, a little nerve and a group of people crazy enough to say YES.

That's why we created Out Of The Cellar Horror Film Festival - a place where filmmakers can take those crazy ideas, make something dangerous, and actually see it on a big screen, with an audience.

Because sometimes the biggest obstacle isn't money. Its opportunity.

Help us make this opportunity accessible, our Kickstarter is LIVE NOW.

If you believe independent filmmakers deserve a place to take their weird little nightmares out of the cellar and onto the big screen…

🩸 Join us.
🩸 Share it with a horror fan.
🩸 Send it to a filmmaker who needs to hear this.

Terre di Cinema 2026 - International Cinematographers Days

These past weeks in Siracusa have been such a special experience for me.

I had the chance to be part of Terre din Cinema as a DOP and Gaffer and to work with an incredible international team sharing the same passion for films while coming from completly different countries and backgrounds 🤯

Working with 35mm color film makes everything feel more special, intimate and challenging.

From scripts to location scouting to light tests to loading magazines and finally to shooting our films…

Our teachers and supervisors took care of us and our films to make it happen and I will never forget this.
I will carry with me the people, the conversations, days on the sets, the problems we needed to face and our little moments in between 🫶

I will be forever grateful for learning the ways of film from DOP Vincenzo Condorelli ,DOP Johannes Kirchlechner, DOP and Kodak Representative Mitch Boxrucker, Martin Bethge, Noemi Gentiluomo, Giulia Fallini, Prema, Anita and Michele ❤️

A big thank you to the entire Terre di Cinema team for bringing us together 🤩

Every person I met here had such great talent and work ethic and I hope our paths cross again someday, somewhere along the way ❤️

Grazie, Terre di Cinema 🎞️

DAY02 | AIC & BVK + Kodak again at TDC

The Day opened with a presentation on Film & Chance by Vincenzo Condorelli, @ilcondor AIC Vice President @aic.cinematographers and Founder/Director of TDC. He was followed by Mitch Boxrucker BVK, @mitch_mboxmedia officially representing @kodak_shootfilm at TDC for the third time and giving this year’s participants an insightful panorama of the art of film shooting. The second part of the day got more technical with the rest of BVK @germancinematographers team taking over: TDC Senior Camera tutor Martin Bethge @martin__bethge and TDC Senior Cinematography tutor Johannes Kirchlechner. In the meanwhile Michele Leonardi @micleosp kickstarted the activities of the Directing Department and supervised the finalisation of the CineCampus crews: from now on everybody got their roles and films assigned and we will get deep into prep. May you all enjoy the process and have a great time at TDC26 🤒❤️🎥
