Lately I’ve been reflecting a lot on the importance of grassroots culture and the spaces that genuinely bring people together. Through my journey with and as Princess Trium, I’ve had the chance to connect with amazing communities and people building culture with real passion and care ❤️ Grassroots spaces create connection, discovery and real community in a moment where everything feels more driven by algorithms and fast consumption. I wanted to use this post to show love to some of the people and communities keeping independent culture alive. And I’m sure I missed many amazing spaces, so please tag more grassroots venues, collectives and events below so we can all connect and support each other ❤️

Thanks Manchester 🖤🙏🏾✨ Recently I’ve been thinking a lot about what I truly want to express through my sets, so being asked to play a set focused around techno and electronic music felt really special to me. I wanted to deliver something different. Something personal. Less predictable and more connected to the sounds that genuinely inspire me lately. African Rhythms, Darker textures, weird rhythms, emotional moments, tracks hidden in my folders for years. Thank you to everyone that came, danced and shared that energy with me. And a big thank you to @opalphase.mcr for the invite and for trusting me with the space ✨
