The Shasta County SWAT Team proudly represented our agency and community at the Staccato National SWAT Championship, with one of our teams finishing 9th overall out of 38 teams from across the nation. The competition challenged teams through demanding events designed to test marksmanship, tactics, physical endurance, communication, and teamwork under pressure. Placing in the top ten at a national-level competition reflects the countless hours of training, preparation, and commitment our team members dedicate to their craft. We are proud of the team’s performance and their continued commitment to maintaining a high level of readiness and professionalism while representing Shasta County on the national stage.

A special thank you goes to Trijicon, Magpul, Redding’s S.T. Rhoades Construction and Highway Specialty Co for their support of the Shasta County SWAT Team. The generosity and commitment of organizations and businesses that support our team play an important role in helping our members train, prepare, and compete at the highest level. We greatly appreciate their continued support and investment in the men and women who serve our community.

First rule of NNSS, you don’t talk about NNSS…🧼

Had a day I’ll never forget. Saw some awesome things most don’t get to. Thanks to @opcon_tac_ops for the possibility: This company is going (to classified) places 💣🇺🇸

Fog is not smoke.

Real smoke changes how crews see, move, communicate, and make decisions under
pressure.

OPCON training smoke is built to replicate thermal behavior and create more
realistic training conditions without turning the scenario into a visual effect.

This is not atmosphere.
This is training realism.

Stop Fogging Around.
Realistic smoke. Realistic training.

This photo isn't from 1972. OPCON supported the Vietnam Battle Reenactment over Memorial Day weekend at Camp Mabry near downtown Austin, TX.

Our non-pyrotechnic explosions and wireless smoke capabilities provided an added spectacle and intensity to an already well executed production.

Thank you @tmfmuseum for having us out and we look forward to the next one!

⚠️ Warning! Explosions and explicit language.
But if you’re into those things then turn the volume up! 😂

A rapidly evolving scene.

Crowds screaming. Victims calling for help. Radio traffic stacking up. Commands being issued under pressure.

Real-world environments are chaotic — training should be too.

The OPCON Chaos Box adds immersive, scenario-driven audio designed to increase stress inoculation, communication challenges, and decision-making under pressure during tactical training.

Because clearing rooms is one thing.
Processing chaos while doing it is another.
