POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This week, Requity Business students had the opportunity to visit @open_works_bmore for an exciting field trip!

Open Works is a community makerspace that provides access to open studios, fabrication spaces, and resources for people interested in creating, building, and exploring the visual arts.

Our students got to tour the woodshop, textile labs, music and media studios, print studios, 3D printing spaces, and so much more!

Students were excited to ask questions, connect with artists and skilled tradespeople, and discover the incredible resources available right here in our own city for creatives and makers.

A huge thank you to @open_works_bmore for welcoming us and giving our students the opportunity to explore new creative possibilities!

I’ve been going nuts, molding, and casting these very special squirrels for my friends at Open Works. Otto the squirrel is their mascot and now he exists in 20 pounds of beautiful concrete. This was a complicated mold in multiple parts and a lot of fun. The squirrels are for sale as part of their 10 year celebration. Check them out. #squirrel #openworks #moldmaking #concrete #concretesquirrels

10 year Celebration 🎉

Shhh… Don’t tell people I put this here…OK! Tell them! Open Works @open_works_bmore selected 10 artists to create on SALT 🧂 BOXES 📦 Yup, I’m one of them 🤟🏽🧠

I call this “TASTE TEST” 👅

Baltimore salt boxes are iconic, bright yellow wooden bins placed on city street corners every fall by the Baltimore City Department of Transportation to help residents clear snow and ice. As early as 1959….NOW I made it slick in 2026!!!

Come be nosey this Saturday 12-5p at Open Works!
