“Educate, Agitate, Organize.” -Dr. B.R. Ambedkar

More power to the youth, indeed. Their strength, determination, and unity are what shape a better tomorrow.

Curated here are moments, banners, and voices captured by incredible people on the ground. These are our brothers, sisters, and neighbors. Distance cannot dilute the quiet grief or the fierce hope. Even from afar, the heart remains right there beside them. Stand with them. Feel their strength.

The Assam type house is a common or rather was a common type of housing structure in North East India. But of late, modern concrete structures have numbed the city scape.
Architecturally, these home were built to escape the frequent earth quakes and tremors in the region. I loved these homes as a kid and wish I could preserve all of them so that their original structure stays intact.
This particular home belongs to a Bengali Catholic family who have been living in this same house since the late Sixties. It’s located in Upland road, and I’m indeed always transported back in time when visit this exquisite home.
