LOUDER TOGETHER
What do they say ?

LOUDER
We want to give children and young people a voice. Let's hear yours!
Our aim is to demonstrate that arts programs are safe and brave spaces where young people can build confidence in their artistic abilities and feel empowered to express themselves creatively. Every child and young person should have access to the transformative power of the arts, helping to shape a more creative, empathetic, and culturally aware society.

TOGETHER
Teaching artists as Connectors.
In a rapidly shifting world, teaching artists act as connectors between people, ideas, and disciplines. They don't just share their practice: they ignite imagination, bridge differences, and provide safe spaces for new ways of thinking and creating. At ITAC8, we explore how teaching artists shape more imaginative, inclusive, and resilient communities.

Time to bring back an iconic piece of Belgian art history 🎭

You might know him from his surreal installations, but did you know 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗷𝗹 created a theater piece that was only performed once? @extra_city is bringing 𝘍𝘦𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘫𝘬𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘷𝘢𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘵 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘢𝘧𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘱 𝘞𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘶 back to life for the first posthumous solo exhibition on Bijl.

Enter a fictional museum, stroll through the banquet hall right onto the stage for a total immersive experience. All of that is topped of with a festive march in the streets, just like they did in 2002! With contributions by @studiopietervermeersch, @alinebouvy, @stephaneschraenen, Hantrax and many more.

🍻 24.10 - 27.12 at @extra_city, Antwerp

This postcard from ITAC8 reminds us of Dorothy Heathcote’s ‘vision of the possible’: the idea that art can take us beyond what we already know and help us experience what might be possible. A challenging idea that tells our ITAC8 story. Find the full ITAC8 recap on our website and via link in bio.

Dear Teaching Artists, artists, educators and friends, of all our stories, this recap is our last but one. Good things take time to grow, and so does the impact of a conference.

✅ So, one last invitation, share your feedback with us. All ITAC8 participants have received an email with a link to the survey, which will help us and future ITAC conferences keep learning and growing. You can also find the link in our bio.

Keen to share a quick takeaway from ITAC8? What would you add to Eric Booth's last slide? 💬 Share it in the comments below and let’s keep the conversation going 🙏
