Shared my reflections from my trip to DR for MECA 2024 🌀 what a time. It was difficult to put my whole experience into words bc so much was felt but here are my streams of consciousness 〰️ ✍️〰️✍️〰️

I’m honored to be a witness and take a step back from a bird’s eye view through this personal essay.

Shoutout to all the homies who did the damn thing & performed, curated, DJed, and showed their work. Shoutout to @digitaldannybaez @mecaartfair @dulcinaabreu for bringing me in and inviting me to host a panel. Shoutout to @tschabalalaself @elephantmagazine for inviting me to write and reflect on this experience. Thank you Emily Burke for editing. Thank you to my luv @opensourcekam for capturing these intimate moments through the lens 📸. Special thank you to my parents for bringing me into this world & making me Dominican 🇩🇴

I am honored to share that I am a @__nxthvn__ 2022-23 curatorial fellow ✨

Firstly I’d like to thank everyone I’ve collaborated with, my mentor @larryosseimensah , my partner @kam.aus.rob , all the artists, spaces, art workers, friends, and patrons that has graciously supported me and my platform @processa.art & been a part of my curatorial journey through the years 🖼

I’m so excited to make the big move & find home within the NXTHVN community 💎 I’m honored to work and ready to shake up the art world alongside this talented group of visionaries 👁 I’m ready for this beautiful shift and I’m grateful for this alignment. Feeling blessed. Let’s get it!
