Trying a mouthwatering slice of a new temptation......
@droetkercanad Frozen Suprema pizza 🍕with a touch of opera and lots of drama ;)

Props to the marketing team of this new product launch. The small but beautiful opera set and hilarious Italian recitation of the opera duo ( @operarevue ) singing the praises of frozen pizza, and the woes of a scorned lover, was brilliant!

Merci a @ema.lolli for the invite 😁

⚡️ Rosalinde, the OG Desperate Housewife.

Her iconic “Csárdás” isn’t just a showpiece—it’s the moment she remembers she’s *that girl* and proceeds to not only take control of the room, but also seduce everyone in it (and what better way to do that than an octave leap and a big shiny high note?) 🔥
Bring on the unapologetic diva energy! ✨

Please read if you can 🙏🏼

When John Aler passed, it broke my heart. For so many reasons. I became friends with him, back in the 90’s when we staged his recital in the Philippines. I was so starstruck as I was surprised with how handsome he was. 🤗
•
But more than that, he gave a recital so beautiful everyone was begging for the next note. A singer that is incredibly outstanding and must be heard live. If an angel could sing, it would be John Aler’s voice. His voices soared like feather floating in the wind. Effortless and carrying all the way to the back like silk.
•
Lastly, since the 90’s we have remained friends. He was the kindest man I have ever met. He sent me his new recordings all the way to the Philippines. The last email I got from him was in June 2022 and he shared that he has been having health issues. So when he passed, I cried… I cried so bad. 😭
•
This playlist will never equal how he sounds on stage. How that angelic voice can make you cry. I hope, so many more will keep listening to this very beautiful, kind, and generous human. 🫶🏼
•
Sending all my love to you in heaven John. 🩵 I miss you. 🥹

☀️ Spring is lighting up my days, and March 1st comes with some exciting news!

💯 Getting ready for the premiere of Les Mamelles de Tirésias on March 8th at @theatremunicipalcolmar , where I’ll be performing three different roles in the same show: the Directeur, Presto, and the Child.

Three completely different characters, which I find deeply intriguing to explore and embody. Bringing them to life within the story opens up exciting possibilities, discovering new timbre colors, vocal effects, and full malleability of expression.

🏃‍♂️ This marks the beginning of a month of performances in various venues:
– Théâtre de la Sinne
– Cité de la Musique et de la Danse
– Théâtre Municipal de Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines
– Centre Socio-Culturel de Sarre-Union

It’s also the first time I’ll be on stage with all my Opera Studio of @operadurhin colleagues, which makes this production especially meaningful to me.
Love you guys…… love this team!!!

Let’s get ready to rumble! 🕺🎶

Wishing everyone a joyful, vibrant spring!

Thankful and happy for your continuous support and investment - @stretta_artists ❤️

Charlotte Wyns - Carmen: Act I: Seguidilla: Pres des reparts de Seville

Mademoiselle Charlotte Wyns, was indeed born in Paris, January 11, 1868, but was of Flemish origin and was called Charlotte-Félicie Wijns) was able to make considerable progress from one year to the next. She had shown, first of all, real intelligence and happy natural qualities; But above all, she was a hard-working student. She quickly climbed all the rungs of the ladder in her classes: for singing, under the direction of Mr. Crosti; for comic opera, under Mr. Léon Achard; and for opera, under the guidance of Mr. Giraudet. She astonished her teachers, so much intelligence and tenacity she brought to her studies, so much so that at the end of the year, she was quite naturally rewarded by the juries. The grand aria from Le Prophète, a scene from Ambroise Thomas's Psyche, in which she sang the role of Eros, and the cathedral scene from Le Prophète, earned her the three first prizes to which she aspired; her teachers and friends, this time, could only rejoice.

The young laureate, armed with her three crowns, remained a few what a time undecided between the roads she could or should take. She almost made a mistake, for she was first engaged at the Opera, without ever making her debut there, although she had rehearsed M. Henri Maréchal's Déidamie; but when, tired of remaining unoccupied, she found the opportunity to enter the Opéra-Comique, she did so like an artist who understood that she was finally entering the path she should have chosen from the very beginning. She was therefore engaged by M. Carvalho; but, instead of the Châtelet, she had to do another long training period before facing the public, and it was only on October 31, 1893, more than a full year after leaving the Conservatoire that she appeared in a revival of Mignon, to which they wanted to give some importance, because of the debut that was to be made there Mademoiselle Wyns immediately achieved great success in this role of Mignon, which has remained one of the best in her repertoire.
