Our fortyfifth party is up with a double birthday bash 🥳
We will be celebrating the birthdays of Cellarman and Phase3 in the first location where Drum & Beer felt at home, L’Excelsior Stam Cool Cafe in Jette 🎊

🏳️‍🌈 Curated by Phase3, this event’s line up is focused on diversity and inclusion - Ukrainian-born DJ, Halushko, well known Dutch artist Operator21 and Romanian vocalist and producer Raluca Stan from Resurgence. A Cellarman B2B Phase3 set with Seka on the scratches will be the first act of the night.

🎶 Musical variety is on board, we always encourage our DJs to build a diverse musical journey, with a general stylistic direction ; this time we’ve organised the timetable to start with deep rollers and go to the harder side of DnB, but many different sounds will pop up in between.

📍 The event takes place at Excelsior Stam Cool Cafe, a nice small bar next to Jette’s train station. The place is cozy, with that old school Brussels bar decor from times past, reminding you that this bar has been around for a very long time. Their team is super nice, and they’ve been keeping the cultural heart of Jette pumping strong by hosting a large diversity of events on a regular basis for many years.

🍻 Their beer menu is huge and very well chosen, boasting over 100 different beers, with more than half of them coming from local craft producers. You can even explore their drinks menu online: https://excelsior.cafe/. If you want to discover the large taste palette that Belgium's beers offer, you’re at the right place !

Last month I had the priviledge of playing a DJ set at @ok.radio, the online community radio based in Kortrijk, Belgium. It was a warm-up event for this year’s edition of the @slushwavefestival, which took place the following days.

I took this opportunity to create a set that would exclusively feature some of the wonderful trans and non-binary artists from the slushwave, vaporwave and adjacent ambient and online music scenes. (Some of which I even had the pleasure of working with in the past.) I’m fascinated by how at home many of these artists seem to feel in this scene, and especially by how they use their creative output to tell the world something about themselves and their unique experiences.

Had a lot of fun putting this together and I’m overall pretty happy with how it turned out and the variety of moods and sounds I was able to include. Please check it out! The Mixcloud link is in my bio.

Ever wondered what it's like pre-Atlantis ❓🐟

We always go out for a crew dinner before we set up everything together with @ot301adam . In OT301, we do a soundcheck together with the crew, the VJ sets up their setup, the crew and venues crew have a little chat, we chalk up the timetable, and have a first drink while we wait for the doors to open.
