some may call me a masochist,
but i believed it was sincere..
tears and tears, for years and years,
but i promise it was love that led me here.
pulling away…running back
no fear of being alone, maybe the home i’d lack.
popping my hand when i tried to stop,
i figured love is supposed to make you cry a lot…
she says she loves me,
but sometimes i feel like she loves me not.
keeping my hopes buckled in for the ride as each petal drops.
and i won’t say a word, out of fear i’m adding to the melting pot…
dry hopes that kill my eyes, filling their lies with rage.
scrapbooks full of life become soggy with my sorrow,
tears soaking through every page.
connotations of indignation bleed through our dwindling days,
thinking of love lost…
but not how much love costs.
if this last petal means she loves me,
then why do i feel like she loves me not?

Making this reel had me thinking “Call Us By Our Name” might be the fitting title for this series. Since I’ve been so in my head about sharing this series, I figured why not just make a reel. Enjoy✨
