Gratitude to everyone that made the Operation Get Out Fall Retreat such an amazing weekend for all of us!

Trying not to act like a fan girl, but mind still a little bit blown that our guide for the day was @jb_oneill. And I had no idea that the boat I wanted to own one day was actually a Centurion 😜

It was a beautiful weekend on Canyon Lake, here’s to your mental health 🙌 🌊

First, a heartfelt thank-you to Martha Marshall, cofounder of 5NP Texas, whose many years of connection with Operation Get Out helped make this meaningful collaboration possible. Martha, thank you for your dedication to bringing care, stillness, and connection to this community. 💙

What a beautiful fall retreat with Operation Get Out at Canyon Lake! It was an honor for 5NP Texas to offer five-needle ear acupuncture each morning at sunrise for first responders, veterans, and their spouses—a quiet space to pause, receive care, and begin the day together as the light spread across the water. 🌅

Wallace J. Nichols’ Blue Mind work explores how being near, in, or on water can support calm, reduce stress, and deepen our sense of connection. Bringing 5NP into this natural setting offered an invitation to slow down, settle into stillness, and make room for rest and renewal.

A heartfelt thank-you to Cindy and Steve, Shelby and Ricky Hollis, and the entire Operation Get Out staff for bringing this meaningful weekend to life. Thank you to Kenny with Centurion Boats, all the boat drivers, and the wake surf coaches for sharing your time, skills, and encouragement—and for creating opportunities for joy, adventure, and connection on the water.

And to every participant who was open to trying something new: thank you for your trust and willingness to join us at sunrise. It was a privilege to share those peaceful mornings with you.

For those who spend so much of their lives caring for others, we were grateful to offer a moment to receive care, too. 💙

Feeling very grateful for this weekend at Canyon Lake with @opgetoutorg + this @traviscounty_starflight family.

Each morning started with acupuncture @5_nptexas , coffee & the sunrise 🌅

Spent the whole day on @jb_oneill boat & he got us all up on our first or 2nd tries wake surfing. He & his girl were the best teacher ever & equally as funny. It was my first time wake surfing & I so loved it! PSA: Now we're looking for friends with boats! 😂

The entire weekend was all about community & connection & getting out on the water & bringing some calm to the chaos that is all around us. First responders from as far as Virginia & Maryland. Inspiring speakers & just the best folks.

Thank you, thank you @opgetoutorg - y'all are truly a blessing to so many. Loved being part of this weekend. It was just what we needed. Already excited for next year’s @getoutgirl 🏄

Officially the BEST weekend of the year, y’all. 🤩🤙🏽☀️

Sunshine. Water. Boats. Boards. Helicopters. Badass women. Big laughs. Real connection. And one seriously special community. 🚁🏄🏽‍♀️🚤💛

@goodspreadsuncare couldn’t be prouder to be the Official Sunscreen Partner of @opgetoutorg + @getoutgirl. 😎☀️

Because Get Out Girl is about so much more than an epic weekend.

Life is going to hand all of us some hard stuff. And this weekend is one big, beautiful reminder that when it does, there are people ready to show up, pull you outside, get you moving, make you laugh, and remind you that you’re not in it alone.

That’s the kind of community we believe in.

Show up. Get outside. Take care of each other. And wear your damn sunscreen. 😉☀️🤙🏽

Wear it. Share it. LIVE IT.

Already counting down to next year. 💛

Get Out Girl Surf & Paddle Jam on Lake Austin gave us a weekend to definitely carry home. 💙

In its 13th year, the largest all-female surf & paddle event in the U.S. brought women of every experience level together for wakesurfing, paddleboarding, kayaking & the moments in between. There were first rides met with cheers, quiet stretches of water to exhale & new friends beside us to find connection on the lake.

We gathered in honor of Kristin McLain, a STAR Flight rescue nurse, and Jessica Hollis, a Travis County Sheriff’s Deputy. They knew how much being outdoors and on the water could mean after pouring into others and then needing to reset after tough days. Their memory continues to guide Operation Get Out as we use evidence based ‘Blue Mind’ science to provide connection and renewed possibilities for individuals and organizations navigating life’s changing tides.

This weekend also helps create sponsored opportunities on the water for individuals who can use the support to experience it, including female first responders, nurses, military & other frontline heroes. To every participant, ambassador, boat captain, volunteer, sponsor & partner who made that possible: thank you.
You brought 💙 to every moment.

What part of the weekend are you still carrying with you? How will you take what you experienced to ANCHOR ⚓️ WITHIN? Tag someone who shared it. 💙

Such a fun time with @opgetoutorg on the water this weekend. I am so grateful to the women I met at the event and those that encouraged me. The past few months have been tough and this event helped me to reconnect to my why. #anchorwithin #ogogo

Water therapy works wonders for the soul and these ladies deserve it! 💕 We teamed up with @opgetoutorg for their annual @getoutgirl charity event to benefit Women First Responders

@austinsurflodge @lakelifevibesatx & @swetusa donated stays & experiences and of course brought the cold plunges!

“Anchor Within”- the theme of this years Get Out Girl Surf & Paddle Jam. I’ve been fortunate enough to participate for the past 4 years & it continues to be my favorite event of the year. 🌊🏄‍♀️🌞
The largest all-female surf & paddle event in the nation benefiting female first responders. Hundreds of women get out on the water for a weekend filled with intentional connection with each other & themselves. It’s a therapeutic water-focused event that you have to try for yourself to truly experience. If you want to join me next year, reach out! 🤙

Some weekends remind us what healing can look like. 🌊

Bare feet. Salt water. Sunshine. Laughter. Movement. Stillness. Needles in ears. Boards on the water. Strangers becoming community.

This weekend’s Paddle & Surf Jam was about so much more than an event. It was an opportunity for first responders, military members, healthcare and mental health professionals, volunteers, and community members to step away from the roles that ask so much of them—and simply receive.

We are deeply grateful to Operation Get Out, Get Out Girl, Cindy Present, and every volunteer, vendor, first responder, military member, supporter, and beautiful human who helped create this space.

And thank you to everyone who sat down with us and experienced the 5 Needle Protocol for stress relief—some for the very first time. 💙

There is something powerful about regulating our nervous systems together, outdoors, surrounded by water and community. We don’t always have to talk about everything we’ve carried. Sometimes healing begins by giving the body a chance to become quiet enough to remember:

We belong here.
We belong to each other.
We belong to nature.

Maybe that is part of what it means to reset—not becoming someone new, but finding our way back to who we were underneath all the stress, responsibility, noise, and survival.

Back to connection.
Back to play.
Back to presence.
Back to our true nature. 🌊🌿

Thank you for letting 5NP Texas be part of something so special.
