inside the Studio, welcome to my studio. Today I would like to share my creative process around a series of collages with @opolochdibujos reinterpreting the famous painting The Ship of Fools by hieronimous den Bosch. This is a key painting to understand madness in the classic era, as shown by Michel Focault. Keep tuned to see our collage responses #collage #shipoffools #foucault

Playing is a key for creativity. Imagining different paths and daring to try. Bonito making aims at unlocking our creativity from the prison of perfection, or fear… what would you be playing at today? Where that will take you? From mini collages to doodling, tracing paper or impromptu installations (using your fruits or objects to create tableaux) #sundaypainting #creativity #bonitomaking #collage #beatrizacevedoart

Responding to @bethkempton invitation #meetthewriter #doorway… although all my life has been about writing, academically or leisurely, in the last two years I’ve been committed with my #bonitolivingbook1 and it has opened the door to study and learn more about #beauty and #aesthetics, to enjoy the #habit of my #morning pages and to appreciate the craft and other writers. So far it’s all about my own process and I hope 2024 expands the #doorway to welcome literary agents, publishers, fellow writer and most importantly #readers. Original illustration from a dream about #sorjuanainesdelacruz and other pioneer #women writers in the Middle Ages. Channeling their passion and habits.#beatrizacevedoart

Responding to @bethkempton invitation to talk about #companions #meetthewriter … I am now enjoying the company of #viviangornick and learning to read for better writing. This is my second reading of #fierceattachments published by @dauntbookspub and finding prompts and examples of her writing to inspire me.

Try these exercises:
1. When was your first encounter with beauty (p.50), a very good prompt for #bonitolivingbook1
2. Recall some conversations in the kitchen (p.67)
3. Describe the city after the rain:
“It rained earlier in the city and now at one in the free moon for a minute and a half, #newyork is washed clean. The streets glitter in the pale spring sunlight. Cars radiate dust free happiness. Store front windows sparkle mindlessly. Even people look made anew.” P. 69

Keep tuned, Vivian Gornick is a mistress of writing!

The war, unfortunately, is not over yet! That’s why @collagesanctuaries decided to support Ukraine since its beginning and still does it daily. On the other hand, as some of you know, CS sometimes love playing with themes to discover or revisit artists, so this week, it is time to review my old folder to share a new chapter of:

”It’s Raining, Cats and... Cats!”

Yes, today dreaming about peace, there will be cats!... not bombs!
