BIG changes could be coming to NCAA Division I men’s soccer👀

The NCAA Division I Cabinet has approved a proposal to move the sport to a two-semester season, splitting competition between the fall and spring.

Under the proposal:
teams could play up to 18 games in the fall
up to 10 games in the spring
the College Cup would be played in the spring
the overall 25-game limit stays the same
Because the proposal passed with less than 75% of the vote, it now enters a 30-day rescission period.

During that window, schools can vote against it — and 67% would need to vote no to stop the rule.
If not overturned, the change would begin in 2027–28.

Do you think this is a good move for college soccer?

I am super excited to announce my commitment to continue my education as well as my athletic career in the AUS at Mount Allison University!

I want to first thank my family for the endless support and encouragement they’ve shown me to help make my dreams become a reality. I wouldn’t be where I am today without you.

I would also like to thank @ottawasouthunited , Coach Tony @tonygeo23 , and Coach Joe for playing a huge role in my development as a player and helping me grow both on and off the field.

A huge thank you to @ftfcanada and @opsmnetwork for providing a platform where young athletes like myself can showcase their abilities and potential to college and university coaches. And of course, thank you to @tshighlighttapes for creating a perfect highlight tape for me throughout my recruitment process!

Finally thank you to Coach Dave @dave.tate.106 for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play for Mount Allison.

I’m so excited for this next chapter and everything that’s to come.
