This is a short recap of @artinuncommonplaces mural festival this past weekend in San Angelo, TX. It was a really good time. From live art, to live music, skateboards to amazing hospitality. If you’ve yet to experience it for yourselves, I highly suggest you do. #muralart #artinunexpectedplaces #muralfestival #visualartcapitoloftexas

What a Mural Fest! 🎨✨

A HUGE thank you to all the incredibly talented muralists who brought their creativity, passion, and talent to Mural Fest 2026!

Watching these incredible works of art come to life was surreal, and we couldn’t be more grateful to the artists who helped make this year’s event such a success.

Each mural brings something unique to our community, adding more color, creativity, and personality to San Angelo and our community.

Here’s a look at the amazing murals from this year’s festival. 🎨🫟

@artinuncommonplaces 2026

I have all sorts of things to share about what learned from each of these artists but I have a limited amount of characters I can use here 😅 (I tried and ran outta space on the 5th artist )
Maybe a blog post er something 🤔

Always great to meet new people... See friends I haven't seen for a bit and fan boy watching artist I look up to.

Learned a lot on this one!! Watching people's use of colors ( Lopez, Avila , Efren, Christie )
Application and approach (Britt, Squid , Inx , Optek, Zo )
Consistency (Paul, Krewline , Jerry)
Confidence.. Osten jus breezin by..

It's chill events like this that I really look forward to.

Thanks to the great kats who hosted us.. always thankful for such warm hospitality.

Gunna make a few more posts about this event and the artists .. but I gatta get back to work.
