I DID IT. 🏅 | OLYMPIC 51.5 TRIATHLON ✅ 1.5km swim. 40km bike. 10km run. My first Olympic-distance triathlon. DONE ! Was it pretty? Nope. 😂 Was I ready? Debatable. Did I finish? I Never Doubted it. But this was about more than just a race. December 23rd changed my life. Losing my father left a void I’m still learning to live with. Life carried on, while parts of mine stood still. I lost momentum, neglected my body, and struggled to find my own fire. That known Dean Positivity. Funny, for someone who’s spent years telling others to push harder, raise the bar and LIVE. “You work, you train, you keep pushing. Must be hard.” Hard? Hard is grief. Hard is loneliness. Hard is holding someone you love as they take their final breath, knowing you can’t change a damn thing. THAT is hard. A sunrise workout? Tired legs? Another kilometer? That’s a hard I GET to choose. What a privilege! The real race was not physical. It was mental. The doubts, the negotiations, the little voice offering a perfectly reasonable excuse to stop. It’s ok to Get Uncomfortable! And my t-shirt? That’s my family. My roots. My history. One isn’t here to see the next chapter. But I carried him across that finish line. BARLAGE. His legacy. My chapter. To everyone who showed up, cheered, laughed, and shared this day with me: THANK YOU. ❤️ Especially my Little Sunshine @irinabfitness Wow, what a pain I must’ve been… (or Am! 🤣) And to my training partner @ramonagerecht … for the miles, the laughs, the motivation and accountability! Here’s to many more adventures 🫶 And to anyone reading… You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. EVERYONE is carrying something. Be ambitious. Want more. Raise your standards. But don’t become so focused on tomorrow that you miss the gift of today. YOUR LIFE IS SOMEONE ELSE’S DREAM. Call your parents. Hug your people. Take the trip. Make moments worth keeping. I’m not where I want to be yet. But I’m moving again. And it feels fantastic! Next up? IRONMAN 70.3. 😏 -> here in writing. WHY? To Find out what’s Possible! LIFE IS A GIFT. LIVE IT. Ut kump allemoal good. ❤️ #triathlon #ironman #losangeles

I FINALLY DID IT!! I completed my first triathlon. 🥇 An item that's been on my goal list for the last two years. After a false start with an adductor injury in 2024, bad bike crash in early 2026, and a sprained ankle 3 days before the race, I came back stronger and crushed my first attempt at a brand new sport. 💪 Learning how to run, picking up swimming again and letting go of fear of going fast on the bike were all major hurdles to overcome, but proud to say I sent it. ALL GAS NO BRAKES 🔥 One thing I'm super proud of is my willingness to try & continuing showing up. No one has less quit than me. My motto for 2026 has truly been Eat shit, keep going 💩 If you want to - you can do hard things. It simply requires an appetite for pain & a willingness to Keep. Fucking. Going. The most successful people aren't the most talented. The smartest. Or the ones with the most blessed genetics. They're simply the ones that refused to give up and showed up 1% better, every single day. You can apply this to any part of your life: sport, wellness, health, business, relationships, projects, anything. I'm excited to apply what I've learned through this prep to all the new things I'm working towards! I'm also super grateful to the friends and family who supported and believed in me along the way. Even if I hadn't taken first place, I would still feel like the biggest winner because of their love 💕 Let's fucking go!! #eatshitkeepgoing #triathletes #triathlon #femaleathletes #womenfounders
