WORK WIFE! From a skit series to a short film! This time we heard the laughs from a real audience!

Should we keep WORK WIFE on the festival circuit a little longer, or are y’all ready for us to release it to the public? 😂👇🏾

Comedy will humble you because what’s funny to you isn’t always funny to everybody else. 😂 So hearing a room full of people genuinely LAUGH at the moments we created? That’s one of the most rewarding feelings as a filmmaker.

Last night, WORK WIFE made its Houston premiere, and the response was everything I could’ve hoped for. The laughs were loud, the conversations afterward were encouraging, and we walked away with new connections and a lot of love for this film. 🎬

There’s something different about sitting in a theater and hearing an audience react in real time. And last night, they definitely let us know it was funny. 😂🙌🏾

A huge thank you to @notanotherfilmorg for providing a platform for independent filmmakers and for now screening my work for the second time. I truly appreciate being welcomed back and having another opportunity to put my work in front of a Houston audience.

From the reactions, conversations, and love we received afterward… I think we might have an audience favorite on our hands. 👀😂

It’s just a work wife… right? 👀😂

WORK WIFE makes its Houston premiere!!! A comedy short where workplace boundaries get a little blurry, explanations get a little harder, and somehow… it only gets MORE complicated. 😂

Inspired by the Work Wife skit series created by @reesetopher_ , starring Maurice “Reese” Gates, @tyanarawls_ & @timsofunnyofficial

CASE STUDY: THE WORK WIFE 🗂️🔎

The evidence has been collected.
The suspects have been identified.
The boundaries are… questionable. 😂

What starts as harmless workplace chemistry quickly turns into a case of blurred lines, mixed signals, and one coworker who sees WAY too much.

Swipe through the case files and examine the evidence for yourself. 👀

So we’ll leave the verdict up to you:
Is a “work wife” harmless… or is somebody eventually taking the job home? 😂

This year… we’re doing it again.

I’m excited to announce that all six of my submissions have once again been officially selected for the 2026 Urban Film Festival in Miami.
