Among the recent albums released in Turkey, one of the most remarkable is “Töz 2”. This album features the highly experienced musicians Tamer Temel, Ercüment Orkut, and Cem Aksel, who form the group TÖZ. They are accompanied by the remarkable contemporary music ensemble Hezarfen Ensemble. The album goes beyond performance concerns and offers a sophisticated intellectual approach. It includes striking compositions and lively, chaotic sections that create contrasts. Fast-paced scores create unpredictable excitement. Additionally, elements of jazz and classical music occasionally catch our attention throughout the album. The unique cover artwork, designed by Sedat Girgin, adds another layer to the collective production. If your collector friend asks for a music recommendation from Turkey, you can confidently suggest this album

@sohfestist was magnificent this year. I was one of the lucky attendee. I spent wonderful times and I learned a lot at the same time. And I had an opportunity to communicate with some serious music professionals, musicans and deep listeners… The festival team that dares to bring this wonderful festival to life, which encourages originality, freedom, and creativity while navigating the ruthless dominance of popularity in the music industry during these hollow festival times, deserves heartfelt congratulations! See you next April!

Show of Hands Festival, bu sene muhteşemdi. Ben de şanslı katılımcılardan biriydim. Bu içi boş festivallerin artış gösterdiği zamanlarda müzik endüstrisindeki popülerliğin acımasız hakimiyetinde yol alırken, özgünlüğü, özgürlüğü ve yaratıcılığı teşvik eden bu harika festivali hayata geçirmek için elinden geleni yapan festival ekibi, yürekten tebrikleri hak ediyor! Gelecek Nisan’da görüşürüz!
