Segotia’s Gallery Programme for 2026 - 2028 is structured in harmony with the Celtic Calendar. The programme aligns each exhibition with the seasonal rhythms of the year. The Celtic Calendar is the framework used by our indigenous ancestors to mark the turning of the year with seasonal festivals. From Bealtaine’s energy of growth and expression, to Samhain’s introspection and release, Segotia offers a living, cyclical approach to art that mirrors both nature and human experience.

Segotia has curated an exceptional lineup of some of the most exciting artists coming out of Ireland, with each exhibition centring around the innate themes, feelings, and energy of each season.

Programme:

2026
Bealtaine - Leah Hewson @leahhewson
Lughnasadh - Rich Gilligan @richgilligan
Samhain - Sean Atmos @seanatmos

2027
Imbolc - Ruth Lyons @ruthelyons
Bealtaine - Claire Prouvost @claire.prouvost
Lughnasadh - Asbestos @artofasbestos
Samhain - James Kirwan @jameskirwanart

2028
Imbolc - TBA
Bealtaine - Gearoid O’Dea @gearoidodea
Lughnasadh - Gavin Leane @orange_owl
Samhain - Maser @maserart

To be in harmony with the seasons is to remember that we, too, are seasonal beings. Just as the land moves through cycles of birth and death, rest and growth, so do our bodies, our communities, and our creative lives. When you start to notice how you show up in the world as the year unfolds, aligning with the seasons is very intuitive. It feels familiar. We are attuning to something we already know.

Check out our blog if you would like to learn more about the Celtic Calendar.

Final post from @brianjsparks from @photobookcombos , wrapping up my takeover with some spreads from the debut publication from @islandphotographersgroup

Island Photographers is an artist-led group raising awareness, understanding and engagement with contemporary photography within Ireland. Through workshops, talks, education, exhibitions and the sale of works, our mission is to develop photography’s role within Irish visual culture.

“Brionglóid” (“Dream” in Irish) was born from a series of themed Reels created for our Island Photographers account, celebrating contemporary photography from across Ireland. It features the work of 41 photographers and there are still a few copies available at @tlp_says , @photobooksireland and @setantabooks

It comes in three editions:
Standard
Special Edition (including one print)
Special Edition (including four prints)

We are currently working on a new publication for 2026 and hopefully many more to come.

Many thanks @10x10photobooks for the invitation to share - looking forward to seeing who is up next!

Thank you for following along.💚
