🚨 BOYCOTT BLOODY TECH 🚨 Join us in London for the launch of the Iphone Duo, standing up against Apple’s countless human rights abuses. We’re disrupting their sales, exposing their complicity and asking consumers to stop funding exploitation, shop ethically and boycott new tech. 📅 Friday 23rd October 🕐 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM 📍 Apple Store, Regents Street, W1B 2EL 🇨🇩In the DRC mineral wealth fuels modern-day slavery and child labour. The exploitation and illegal trade of Congo’s resources have been linked to genocide, armed groups and militias, displacement and sexual violence. We want to spotlight the economic root of the genocide and instability in Congo, where the world's largest tech giants, like Apple, profit from forced labour, resource exploitation and environmental destruction, all while turning a blind eye to unethical mining, smuggling, tax evasion, genocide and corruption. 🇵🇸Apple donates to friends of the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) which collects donations on behalf of Israeli occupation soldiers committing genocide in Gaza. Apple’s second-largest research and development centre in the world is in Israel, normalising, contributing and profiting of the occupation, apartheid and ethnic cleansing in Palestine. ‼️In China, tens and thousands of Uyghurs have been forcibly transferred from East Turkistan to work in factories that manufacture and supply for tech companies like Apple. LETS SPREAD AWARENESS, EDUCATE AND TAKE ACTION 📢 #boycottbloodtech #iphoneduo #iphoneduolaunch #shotoniphone #boycottapple

• ꜱᴘᴏᴛʟɪɢʜᴛ • RESPACE  ᴀᴜɢ 2ɴᴅ 🪩 ɴᴜ ᴇᴀʀᴛʜ ɢʀᴏᴏᴠᴇ 🪩 a day of Global Urban Jazz Funk Liberation music, with @feltsoundsystem at Lordship Recreation Ground Originating within London’s off-grid spaces and radical community networks, as renowned event promoters, @respaceprojects have developed an ever-evolving grassroots crisis architecture, which supports community groups to access empty/disused spaces in their local area. ReSpace’s methodology is focused on identifying, accessing and reusing otherwise-wasted resources that are prevalent all around us (empty properties, building materials, food, furniture, municipal goods etc) to fuel this restorative work that otherwise feels unaffordable for many; reducing inequality and rebuilding community. Their current project is REinsTate, transforming the historic 140-year-old Tate Institute social club in Silvertown, that has been out of action since the 90s, back into a multi-use community hub that can build resilience, educate and act as a model for how community groups can be best placed to reclaim wasted heritage assets. The @reinstate_project team is also currently involved in projects in Tower Hamlets, Hammersmith, Brent and Hackney, as well as advising on community-led refurbishment of Seven Sisters Indoor Market (Latin Village) and the historic Wards Corner Buildings to create a new cultural & social hub for Tottenham. On Sunday, one of their team, Frederick Sugden (aka Medallion Man @medallionmanmusic ), is joining us at Lordship Rec to share more information about ReSpace’s history, their attempts to disrupt the system from within and how their work can act as an inspiration for other community groups in acute need of space. As well as working tirelessly on this holistic urban regeneration, Freddie is also a driving force behind a number of other community-building projects, including@andwemove_awm, the radio network (previously, Threads) soon to be relaunching in Haringey. —— @alya__isha is supported by the Early Career Promoter Fund which is managed by PRS Foundation and funded by Arts Council England using Supporting Grassroots Music funding from DCMS @prsfoundation
