My sweet Leila, I can’t believe my baby girl is 14 today. I honestly don’t know where the time went. It feels like just yesterday I was holding you in my arms, and now I’m watching you grow into such a beautiful young lady.

You have always had your own little way about you. Your personality, your creativity, your love for music, your style, and that big heart of yours make you truly one of a kind. I’m so proud of the person you are becoming, especially watching you be such a loving big sister and seeing you grow up proud of your culture and your roots.

I’m so happy watching you grow, but Mommy is also a little sad because it’s happening way too fast. I wish I could keep you little just a little longer.

Happy 14th birthday, baby girl. You will always be my little Leila, no matter how old you get. I love you more than you’ll ever know and I’m so proud to be your mom.
