POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As I’ve started my first block post Rising Tide 2026 I’ve been comparing my last two comps. It’s definitely been dope that they’ve been Rising Tide 2025 and Rising Tide 2026! Squat is obviously what I’m most proud of. I think it’s nice to be able to see the progress and recognize how different my approach was during both 3rd attempts. God gave me the strength to make it happen and I did!

In 2025 I was physically prepared for 600lb BUT IN 2026 I KNEW I was mentally prepared to stand up with 600lb.

I’m very excited to build towards more!!!

In all honesty the way squats went during Rising Tide prep I could’ve called it quits. Before the final three weeks the heaviest I squatted was 220kg/485lb and under three weeks out the heaviest was 535lb.

One of the things I’ve applauded myself on has been related to my growth outside of just increasing weight. The simple things such as not getting disappointed if I can’t hit a certain number each week. This prep showed me consistency and just a right amount of work goes a long way.

While 535lb is still above 500, there was a struggle with 485 for WEEKS/BLOCKS. I adjusted several squat sessions just to be able to get some work in. I may share the squat sessions because it was BAD.

It was nice to see me display growth as a lifter. We’ve made a lot of progress but there’s so much more to make. @easterstrong

Any Given Sunday.

Performance wise, I am utterly disappointed. This wasn’t even my planned low end LOL. I could list all of the reasons I think the day didn’t go as planned but I’ll save it.

I came to Philly with three goals; Squat 600+, PR the total, score 100+ GL points and I’m only proud of one.

Squats FLEW. Bench FLEW. I could’ve took a small PR on Deads and settle for a slightly higher total PR but I made @jovykim234 load more, it would’ve pushed me closer to my goal total and GL points.

Competing felt fun last week! I had a BALL. I’ll admit I felt a bit out of place but once I took my first warm ups I was floating.

The post comp shenanigans during the Primetime session were much needed! I enjoyed the laughs that I shared with everyone.

Shoutout to @easterstrong for being a friend and solid coach. This prep has by far been the most hectic. The biggest lesson from this prep has been realizing that a little work goes a long way. The heaviest squat we hit prior to was 535lb.

Thanks to @jovykim234 for letting me crash out but making sure I focused up during each attempt.

And major shoutout to @delco_jesus & @delcospottingcrew for joining in during my platform self talk sessions. 😂

See ya in Greenville ✌🏿

Squat 272.5kg/600.59lb (3/3)
Bench 155kg/341.71lb (2/3)
Deads 277.5kg/611.61lb (2/3)
Total 705kg/1553.82lb (7/9) (27.55lb PR)

Not surprised, just proud of the work.

Nonetheless, here's my bench from yesterday.

418 with a little more in the tank

Pretty sure Nats is in a few weeks. Might try a PR then who knows.🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

🪖7 years of healing.
🪖7 years of rebuilding.
🪖7 years of loving life.

These years have taught me that trauma doesn’t disappear as you heal, you just learn how to live with it.
It humbles you. It exposes you. It shifts your perspective; for better and for worse.

Life comes with a surplus of highs and lows but if you can endure to preserve you’ll find the finer things in life are the simplest.

They told me I couldn’t but the words of man hold no weight to GOD.

To anyone reading this and thinking about giving up, keep going! You’ll look back and be proud of yourself.

🧱Part One - the story I almost never shared.

This is why I lift.
