🍂 Oregon Day 4 | Astoria – Late Brunch

After visiting the iconic Goonies house and the Oregon Film Museum, we worked up quite an appetite! We walked about 10 minutes around town and stumbled upon a converted, stationary boat serving up beer-battered fish ’n’ chips from a walk-up window. 🐟🍟

Made with fresh tuna and coated in a perfectly crispy golden batter, it looked well worth the wait. And wait we did — two hours in line😐 Thankfully, time flew by as I kept myself busy capturing photos and videos of the town and the experience. Sometimes, the best food adventures come with a little patience. 📸

Oregon - Day 1

Pittock Mansion is a historic 16,000-square-foot French Renaissance-style château perched approximately 1,000 feet above Portland in the city’s West Hills. Built in the early 20th century, the mansion is surrounded by wooded grounds and offers sweeping views of downtown Portland and, on clear days, the Cascade Mountains.

Oregon Film Museum – Located in Astoria, Oregon, the museum celebrates the state’s rich cinematic legacy inside the historic 1914 Clatsop County Jail—the exact building featured in the opening jailbreak scene of the 1985 classic The Goonies. 🎬

Yesterday was beautiful weather for a trip to the gorge. The salmon run is at its tail end but I was still able to see many at my favorite spot. A good opportunity to take my new phone out for a test run. 💚🌿
