I wanted to thank IMNZ for this Taite nomination and to thank everyone who put in their time and talent to help me make this album real and release it!
It’s a struggle mate, first it feels super self-indulgent to ask anyone to play your sad sack songs and then it’s like asking for favours left, right and centre to record them and put on shows and promote and see if people care!
I am so so so grateful to these wonderful people for helping me make “Can’t Even”
I’m really proud of it and couldn’t have done it without you!

I am so overwhelmed with joy from last night. I realised I have amazing people around me and that’s what makes something memorable and awesome. She’s So Rad absolutely smashing it and helping me dance away the anxiety, my incredible 2000s Jazz Band tutor Edwina Thorne fucking up the stage with her cornet, my beautiful sister Anji having my back on bvs, Zam, Pet, Ethan and TR aka the hands that painted the magical set, Chris coming through to bedazzle my bod, The Coven!!! - all you powerful wahine singing MY songs with ME making me feel cool and brave, my incredible band - Dan, David and Joe - yous are so brilliant and funny and bring such a mean vibe to these songs! DJ Uncle Spicy for orchestrating the come down so perfectly FAI FAI PE’A and the people behind the scenes, Isabella, Shreya, Z and Milad for documenting these precious moments I don’t remember, the wonderful kind staff at Neck of the Woods - you make this space! Jared for your amazing kindness and hair. Bob fucken Frisbee, where would the music scene be without you - I don’t know how to even explain everything you do for us. Thank you. The album is out - we celebrated last night but there will be more shows and more chances to have a laugh and a cry with Bub XX

I work in film painting sets as my day job, just finished a production a few weeks ago with a bunch of cool cunts, so I decided to make some of them a gold badboy as a leaving gift. This was pretty much our (my) catch phrase for most of the show, SACKED! Now we are all sacked. These are wee nippy ones, with the glass being 6x8 inches.
All sorts of stuff going on in them, was cool fun, see you all again soon 🙏
