Ain’t no party like a Prefab paaaarty. One week on from Rhi & Noah’s inner city wedding in the heart of Welly.

Got the late sub in from the backs to capture their day. We had plenty of homework in the lead up and about 10,000 steps in the first 15mins walking up Vivian St. But we brought the morale, the sun shone bright and the party was heeearty.

No need for chatgp AI to write a soulless caption, the day was hunnnnnreal. And as the saying goes, ya can’t beat Wellington on a good day. Happy one week lovers ✌🏽 #davidle_nz @davidle_nz

The next course of our current menu Kaitiakitanga is Tītī. Tītī, also known as Muttonbird, are prized seabirds. Between April and May each year Tītī are harvested from the 36 Tītī islands which surround Rakiura (Stewart Island). Only Rakiura Māori can exercise their ancestral hunting rights, no one outside of Rakiura Māori is allowed to set foot on any of the Tītī islands. Tītī is comparable to duck in terms of size and fat percentage with a complex flavour that's a cross between anchovy and game.

In this dish: slow-roasted cabbage, tītī XO jam, mustard frills, pickled red cabbage, vinaigrette and finished with tītī crumb.

Three things you shan’t catch me without this January: my phone, my laptop and my @migoals goal-digger diary. ✔️✔️ Without a single one of these, ya girl is slightly lost. 😅 I write lists every single day — if not the evening before, and along with phone reminders that are constantly going off, this is my key to organisation, deadlines and to being as reliable as I possibly can be. 👌🏼 I used to write my tasks on my phone, until I realised it is 234% more satisfying to tick something physically off a list, than it is to delete a bullet point off your phone. 💁🏽‍♀️ The later is just so disheartening. The task may as well have never existed at all — which to me, feels pretty much the same as not doing the task. Want to feel more daily satisfaction? Write that shit down.

P.S. Want to know what’s NOT captured here? It’s the wireless keyboard that I have to carry everywhere I go, ever since I spilled water all over my laptop [you see, everything else still works so I’m waiting until life gets worse and the whole thing dies on me. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Probably the worst idea in history, but it’s doing well to convince me so far that I’m not the bloody knob who spilt water on her laptop. I am instead just the knob who has to carry around two keyboards. 🙂👏🏻 ] The reality of my own stupidity, I must say, is not all that insta-worthy. But if you don’t know, now you know.
