POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
For ten years, @organoke has filled St Giles’ Church with people of all ages, backgrounds and beliefs coming together to sing with a live band and an iconic 1844 church organ. They've welcomed thousands of people who would never come to evensong, but love to belt out Britney beneath a Grade II* listed vaulted ceiling. Parish churches were built as the centre of community life. Even if it is Karaoke that brings people together, communal joy is will always be a traditional use of a beautiful spiritual space.... Come experience it for yourself. Plan your costume and join us on the 31st October to hear the mighty church organ! 🎹🎤 💛 www.organoke.com

Did you know ORGANOKE was created right here Live At St Giles? Here are 10 reasons to support our show… Book now and see you at Halloween 🎃 🎹 THE MIGHTY ORGAN: This isn’t a karaoke machine, it’s a genuine 1844 church organ as you’ve never heard it before because we have Ashley Valentine! ⛪️ THE VENUE: St Giles’ Church in Camberwell is Neo Gothic grade 2* listed working church and an unforgettable backdrop for a unique show 🎸 THE BAND: Real musicians playing live arrangements especially written for ORGANOKE - That’s over 748 pieces of music and counting and not a backing track in sight! 👋 IDA BARR: ORGANOKE’S flamboyant brings vintage music hall charm and wit, guiding singers through a joyfully unpredictable, unforgettable night. 🎼 THE SONGS: All carefully picked to make the organ sound its best and to get you on your feet! Bangers need only apply. 🤞THE TOMBOLA OF DREAMS: Wanna sing in the second half? Pop you name on a slip and the TOMBOLA OF DREAMS will decide your destiny...The Tombola is NEVER wrong! 🎉 COMMUNAL JOY: Arrive as strangers leave as mates: For one night a South London church turns into the most joyful space in the city 🤡 FANCY DRESS: Whether it is our Summer Spectacular, Halloween Spooktacular or Alternative Christmas Carol Service...fancy dress is extremely encouraged - if not expected! 💷 WE’RE FUNDRAISING: Profit from this joyous show supports the ongoing maintenance of “Seb” the organ and helps us prepare for a long term future restoration project (over £1million) so your great night out is also a small act of preservation for our mighty organ 💞 WE’RE A HOMEGROWN SHOW Created in 2016 as we attempted the Guinness World Record Organ Marathon, we thought karaoke with the organ would make a fun segment, and thus ORGANOKE was born whilst the record attempt has been put on ice! 🎤 “Soul-lifting, inclusive fun” 🎤”Communal joy, should be available on NHS” 🎤“Primal-scream freedom vibe-therapy” #organoke #karaokevsthemightyorgan #halloween #karaoke #livebandkaraoke
