Too often, we carry the weight of our fears and the weight of our past—dead weight that God never intended for us to hold or travel throughout our journey with. As God’s children, when we surrender; we release what no longer serves us—and make room for Him to move, heal, and to bless us abundantly.

Bag Lady x @erykahbadu has been heavy on my spirit since the year started. Every time life starts to feel overwhelming, I hear this message behind her lyrics : release the weight, or it’ll slow you down to the point where you may miss your flight.

Last Sunday my schedule was pretty hectic, but his voice kept nudging me to turn on the word. And of course- there’s my pastor @michaeljtfisher dissecting what it looks like to truly pack light, understanding the promises of the final destination. Listen y’all, we can’t step into our destiny weighed down by burdens we were meant to lay at His feet.

The good news is that God is waiting to love your sins and grievances away, but only if you surrender. The author of your story, and pilot of your flight is preparing you for take off. It’s just up to you to pack light for a smoother journey while in the air 🤍
