Dear Basketball,

It still hasn’t sunk in that I played my last college basketball game. I put hard work, sweat and tears into this game that I love and I wouldn’t change a thing.

To those who stuck with me on this ride I want to thank you. My journey was not the easiest, but with the love and support from my family I was able to push through and follow my passion.

I want to thank God for giving me the ability to pursue my dreams of being a college athlete and making it possible for the ones I love the most to be able to witness and be apart of it.

I want to thank my mother for giving me her unconditional love. I thank my brother for being my #1 and always being in my corner. I thank my sister for giving me courage and reminding me of my worth. I thank my godparents for their love and support as well. To the rest of my family and friends, I thank you for watching me grow on and off of the court. To my trainers, especially @joebuckets_sensei ,I thank you for pushing me and growing my game.

To Coach Peay and Coach Blake,
I am forever grateful to have been able to play my last year of collegiate basketball through you. If I could do it all over again, I would still choose you. Defiance gave us a home to create something special. Some people play for coaches, but I play for family. And that’s what the both of you are to me.

To my teammates, I thank you for the laughs, memories and for friendship. I thank you for sisterhood. I am proud to be your leader and I can’t wait to see how you all grow in this beautiful game. I am proud of you all and just want to remind you that it’s always bigger than basketball.

To my younger self, we did it! I am proud of you and the woman you have become and continue to be. I admire the fight in you. You are beautiful, worthy and your story is inspiring.

To basketball, thank you for being an outlet. For showing me so many different places and new faces. For opening doors for me and allowing me to inspire others through your art. Basketball will always be apart of my life and something I appreciate.

I am thankful, beyond blessed and proud of the jersey that I wore.

#4 Out 💜💛🏀
