MY WORD FOR TODAY. This is quite a moment in my life, and I must say, I’m not the same person I used to be. Something has changed in me. Today, I’m marking this year by giving GOD the absolute glory for everything He has done in my life—for the man I am right now and for the man I am becoming. And this is what I say to the world: WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED. I’m just starting to believe, to see, and to understand what GOD has in mind for me. I wish myself a year of clarity, purpose, growth, and fulfillment. Happy Birthday, Oluwadamilare Ayomiwale. 🎂🙏🏾 To a new chapter. To becoming. To everything GOD has in mind. WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED. 🔥

Moving from Lagos to Ibadan To everyone who moved from Lagos to Ibadan in the past two years, this is what we’ve learnt and what we're experiencing. Firstly, there are jobs here in Ibadan. A lot of jobs, I must say—even more than Lagos, yes—but this is the headache: Some people in Ibadan don't love work, but they love higher salaries. This is what I say to my Lagos people who moved to Ibadan: We are ready to work even for a low salary at first. All we want to do is get into work, start doing something, and learn while we chase clarity. I remember I started out at a Lounge & Bar, working as a DJ, Hypeman, Storekeeper, and managing drinks. I moved from there straight to site work—doing stainless work and marble work. From there, I moved to a café job at Agodi Gate inside Secretariat, where I ran affidavits, NYSC registrations, and more. From there, straight to Aleshinloye Market, where I worked as a security officer for Labor where a Chinese loan collector company operated. From there, I worked for a solar company, Max Solar Power—even though they didn't officially employ me. I got used. From there, I moved straight to a Music Hub where my story started changing. Because I love music and know my way around musical instruments, I worked at Horns Engineer Music Hub. Right now, I just exited from the company to focus fully on KUBANSOUND Media. I will tell you this: if you have somewhere you are going in life, chase clarity first and don't just chase the pay. I understand that you need to eat and take care of yourself, your family, and your friends... I understand all of this. But if you don't have the mindset of someone who wants to learn and a clear vision of where you're heading, you might keep searching for jobs where there are opportunities, but those opportunities won't see you. I hope this post finds someone who needs to read it today.

Why are we competing when we should be collaborating? 🌍 Every time I look at the economic hurdles facing Africa, one harsh truth stands out: our biggest barrier isn’t a lack of talent, resources, or ambition. It is division. We spend so much energy competing across borders—nation against nation, brand against brand—instead of leveraging our collective power. Only about 15% of our trade happens within Africa. We export raw assets, import finished products, and let artificial boundaries dictate how far our brotherhood extends. As I dive deeper into analyzing what breaks us the most across this continent, the same patterns keep surfacing: Colonial borders prioritized as identity: We treat lines drawn on a map as walls rather than bridges. Internal economic competition: We fight over crumbs in regional markets instead of building unified supply chains that command global respect. Media and narrative gaps: We rely on external voices to tell our stories, which shapes how we value each other. This realization is why projects like "Wake Up Africa" by Kingblack Hayes (feat. Zada Whyte) resonate so deeply with me. It isn't just a record; it is a sonic mandate—a reminder that true awakening doesn't start in conference rooms, but in the streets, through our shared culture, media, and unified voices. Development is impossible without unity. Division breeds stagnation, but true collaboration opens doors to undeniable power. I’m currently putting together my findings on the structural and social factors that hold us back, and I want to hear from my network: What do you think is the single biggest factor breaking African unity today, and how do we fix it? 💭 Let’s talk in the comments. 👇 #WakeUpAfrica #PanAfricanism #AfricanUnity #Leadership #MediaAndStrategy #KubansoundMedia #AfricaRising Check out the preview of Kingblack Hayes ft Zada Whyte - WAKE UP AFRICA to see how media and music are coming together to push this message of unity across the continent.
