Happy World Microbiome Day 🦠 🦠

Today we celebrate our microbes and just how wonderful they are 🥳🥳

You may not be able to see your microbes but trust me they are essential they are to our health ❤️

I often refer to them as our “ internal pharmacy “ - we feed them lots of prebiotics and they pump our lots of wonderful medicines that are essential for our health ❤️

Just because we can’t see them it does not mean that they aren’t important- in fact we would not survive without them ❤️

There are 33 trillion of them living in and on us and to put that into context we have on average 30 trillion human cells in our body! So we are more bacteria than we are human 🤯

You might not be able to see them but if you put them@all together and held them in your hand they would be over 2 kg in weight - heavier than the human brain 🧠

So we are more bacterial DNA 🧬 than we are human 🤯 we are like a big ball of bacteria walking around in a human host !! So…. it would be pretty naive for us to think they don’t do anything what do they do for us?

Video explains why it is important to mind your microbes 🦠

Look after your good gut bacteria and trust me, they will look after you ❤️🫶

Happy world Microbiome Day 🥳🥳

To celebrate we have 25% off Symprove both in all our @meagherspharmacy and online at www.meagherspharmacy.ie
