11 months ago @freeversepresents was born. An Arts Engagement Grant gave us the opportunity to bring the vision to life. Alongside some really intelligent and incredible individuals, the FreeVerse team brought monthly open mics to the Civic Pavilion in Boston, dedicating a safe space for all to unite for the love of community… and poetry. We have brought together 8 out of state artists, 8 youth poets, and loving attendees who’ve become family. I am so honored to be a little part of creating the impact FreeVerse has birthed. In April 2026, FreeVerse officially became a nonprofit and we are so excited to continue to serve people in an effort to preserve our art. This week in collaboration with @bamsfest, we have been given the opportunity to bring forth some really cool events. Without you all, FreeVerse would only be a poem on the wall but with you all it has become the home for all of us to feel seen heard and held. I’m so proud of the work FreeVerse does, so proud of the artists for baring their hearts every month, so grateful for our partners for believing in the vision turned reality and so blessed to have a powerhouse team. I would really love to see you all there this weekend. Whether it’s your first event or your 8th FreeVerse show, come be a part of a movement and stay for the ride. ~Antes que me voy~ I wrote this as a conversation with the sea, what my last words would be before parting ways. Inspired by the love I rediscover every day. I haven't always grown up with the love I deserved. To now be receiving extraordinary mirrors into the love that's birthed into me has me excited and scared at times. Excited to know I could ever reach this point and scared for the inevitable loss that follows in being so raw. At times, love would feel like a long-distance calling, always hearing it chime around the corner, sometimes not hearing it at all, that never stopped my faith in loving. I recommend screaming out your car window to everyoneeeee ( if you sang this line like @alanis I’m entering you into win tickets to my next show LOL! IM SERIOUS! ) anyway, yesterday was a beautiful day full of capturing content and building with my creative community, spending some incredible time being creative with my dear friends, celebrating birthdays, and new project recordings and releases. And the magic of being in the moment to witness someone in their vulnerable truth, in their creative practice, in their creative release. I just want to say thank you you too everyone who was a part of my day yesterday. Thank you to Logan for providing such amazing services to the creative community. I absolutely adored my one on one photo shoot with him yesterday and I’m excited to share my newww editorial digitals & the quick concept video and photos we did that you see some clips of in this reel. And another huge, thank you CLRWTR & Sebastian & Mama CLR for holding such a beautiful space for us to create and collaborate on content last night! I’m so excited for y’all to see my visual concepts for Singing The Blues, and the dance video I did to my girl @kaealayah song Wha Yhu ❤️ anddddd some appearances 🤭☀️ All in all yesterday reminded me to take some time to just get together with my friends and make shiii! Everything doesn’t have to be so serious all the time. This past week I had the pleasure of painting infront of creatives coming in from all parts of mass! After being given the prompt of creating my vision of boston creatives, this thought bloomed into my mind of community members assisting a fellow creative in a new tool, photography, music, etc. The use of trees signifying the experience they have, whisps of orange flowing between this bush full of flowers in showing the bridge in sharing this knowledge with an individual who is growing into the scene, the person in the center feeling so full n abundant in all this knowledge has influence to keep growing. My excitement from this night of elevated minds motivates me to share more~ thank you to all the beautiful people that appreciated my process as much if not more than I <3 thank you to the @adobelive team for having me!
